Health Care Costs I separated this subject on purpose. This has become a massively complex issue. One thing is absolutely certain. We must find a credible and lasting way to remove greed from the system. Greed and Care are concept that are anathema to each other. They just don't mix. Genuine Conservatism should be able to pull its collective intellect together and derive a Cost/Benefit relationship that works for everyone involved. The extreme costs now being passed-on to the Patient for things that simply do not warrant such massively over-tweaked prices must come to an end. This includes both direct treatments costs billed to insurance companies and the costs (premiums and deductibles) paid by Patients to the insurance companies month after month and year after year. The Heart and Soul of Medical Professionals needs to change and in some cases that change needs to be dramatic. Principled Health Care cannot be about profiteering and in some cases racketeering (price fixing). It needs to truly be about the Care of the Individual and their Family. It must have more Heart, more Soul, more Passion for the Patient than passion for the paycheck. This is not to say that Care Professionals should work for free or for peanuts. They should be well paid for the good work they do. But, we've reached a point where everybody in the system needs to think long and hard about the future of Care and make the pivot and commitments to change that are required to bring that kind of future care into exists. This requires lowering costs across the board and that will require commitments from Insurance Companies, Pharmaceutical Companies, Care Professional and Hospitals. Hospitals. This one is easy. We simply build more Local Branch Hospitals. A Local Branch Hospital would be strictly community based except in the case of emergency arrivals from outside the community (for whatever reason). These would be much smaller Hospitals that while they would have the ability to function like traditional "Clinics," they also have "near full capacity" for functioning like a major Hospital (up to and including some surgical procedures). To make this really work, I believe these Local Branch Hospitals would need smaller (more compact) versions of ER, Pre-Op, OR, PACU, PICU, Radiation and a Serology Lab. I think those things can be debated, tweaked and optimized - but the concept is what I believe is necessary to off-load and de-escalate the massive burden that many of our larger (major) Hospitals are dealing with right now in some regions of the country. How do you pay for the New Principled Health Care System. It is not as problematic as you might think. Right now, our Federal Government is extremely wasteful. We pay for the NPHCS by simply re-directing existing tax dollars that are otherwise being wasted or inefficiently used to produce results far less effective than the NPHCS would produce. It would be a matter of National Priorities. This is WHY I say that we need a New Conservative Party that lives on Ethics, Morals, Integrity, Character, Principles & Priorities. This is where "Principles & Priorities Matter." There are a number of different budgets that are overblown and where the results we get range from questionable to highly inefficient. We can intelligently source and re-purpose funds from these areas to build-out the NPHCS and never once suffer a negative consequence in those areas where we reduced the resources the once received. Thus, the New Conservative Party would be responsible for restructuring Federal Government so that it works for the American People and not constantly against them. A New Energy Technology Economy Working along side our Petroleum based economy, a new Conservative approach to intelligently incubate and then wisely bring forth new energy alternatives that can be patent secured and exported abroad to the world's perpetual envy, provides the economic freedom and foundation for building Americas new Infrastructure here at home. A new infrastructure that includes the latest technologies in Commercial Development, Residential Community Development, Public Works Development, new forms of clean, intelligent and highly efficient Public Transportation infrastructures, wisely designed new highways, bridges, tunnels and other interstate ground based transportation infrastructures. And, finally to clean-up and better organize a much more efficient National Airspace infrastructure. Law Enforcement & Personal Self-Defense It is long overdue. A Conservative approach to Standardizing Policing Protocols based on the United States Constitution that is highly accountable to both The People whom the Police serve and a National Standards Board having both physical presence and legal jurisdiction in Regional Offices (locations) around the country for the express purpose of overseeing Police Enforcement. No more local Internal Affairs. If there is an issue involving Constitutional violations, someone from an NSB office is assigned the case, goes on-site at the local Police Station and conducts their investigation according to what the law provisions. Pure and simple. A genuine Conservative approach would absolutely never turn a deaf ear or a blind eye to the Human Right of Self-Defense. A National Conceal Carry Permit would be de facto Standard Issue in all 50 States. Constitutional Carry with the caveat of an NCC permit issued upon request to the applicant. Let me repeat that: Upon Request of the applicant. Those who chose to carry concealed would qualify through training to meet and demonstrate standards for basic firearms handling safety and basic use of firearms for self-defense purposes. Training and Testing can be arranged, organized and administered by local municipality and/or by State statute. All administered Training and Testing would be Standards based across the board as to not deprive locales having fewer economic resources to opportunity to adequately prepare their Citizens for the responsibility of Concealed Carry duties. Part of that training would include a course in CPR and basic Field Level Medic-type (or like) training for the purpose of saving lives when and wherever possible and as safety allows. This would be a platform of Revolution. Make no mistake about it. Not merely changing the current Republican Party from within. But, literally removing it and replacing it with a New Conservative Party that truly focuses on genuine Conservative Roots. One that puts forth a platform of Total Transformation in the way our Federal Government works, so that it becomes streamline, efficient, optimized, highly functional, principled, ethical, constitutionally adherent, protective of our boarders and national sovereignty and supportive of The People in a time of natural disaster or national emergency. A government that serves. Not a government that enslaves. If we are to be true to form as Genuine Conservatives, then our first legislative order of business would be to utterly abolish the Federal Reserve Bank and revoke its license to steal our wealth, remanding all control of the money supply to Congress and the Treasury Department. Yep, this would indeed be a Revolution. Getting It Done The responsibility is ours. We have a choice to make. Do we desire a future for our children that does not include them being perpetual Economic Slaves? Future generations of Americans will look back at us (from that Park Bench) 300 years into the future and they will either say that we made the right decision to alter course, or they will have the right to say that we set the stage for their utter and complete destruction by failing to alter course. What do you want your future offspring saying about you? You have a contribution to make. Make it count for something that upholds a brighter future for us all. Looking for a Savior? Truth is, we are our best Savior. So, be it then. Save US all.
