A possible scienfic explantion for one of the Quaran's inaccuracies?

    One of the most inaccurate passages in the Quran claims that salt water and fresh water do not have the ability to mix together. Anyone who has even a basic scientific understanding of physics knows that this is not true.

    But I think I found the reason behind it.

    One of the only source of salt water that is reachable to many areas in the middle east is the dead sea, a body of water that is so saturated with salt that the water has a goopy feel to it at times and it's actually possible to lay on top of it in certain areas without sinking. There is so much salt in the water of the dead sea that no life can exist there.

    The reason I think this is important is because it could be possible that water from the dead sea is what inspired this passage and the salt level in the water could make it so that it does not mix well with fresh water.
