This is my mythbusting thread. Myths to be busted include: 1) Israel was a land without a people for a people without a land. 2) The state of Israel had to be created as a response to the Holocaust. 3) Israelis just want to live in security and peace with their Arab neighbors. 4) Israel is a democracy. 5) The problem is an age old conflict between religious groups. 6) Palestinian resistance fighters are extremist, anti-Semitic, and do not want to live in peace.
