OOPs there goes another $79 million, opps there goes another $79 million dollars of taxpayers dollars. Right down the drain. I guess it's a plus the Obama administration ONLY WASTED $79 MILLION on this one. What a bunch of economic morons. These are billions of dollars of your hard earned money just going down the drain. Do you have money to spare betting on the Grey horses? Myself I am struggling money wise and these jackasses are gambling on loser with my tax dollars. Why is this acceptable to liberals? Oh I know tax the rich and gamble with THEIR money. Please help get them out of power in the Senate and give the Republicans more seats in the house in 2012. The economic losers must GO!

Gamble and lose, he also don't allow us to write off the $3000 annually for our losses.

I would like to know how many companies failed in the 8 years that Bush was president, and I would like to know if you would pin the blame on Bush?

I'm not blaming Bush, heck I even didn't mind the guy. I am just pointing out that I'm guessing you didn't care about what companies failed when Bush was in office. It's not fair to care now.

Haliburton too if you want to talk about Bush.

It's not about a company failing when so-and-so is in office. It's about a company failing after being given millions of tax dollars.

When did the USA become bad at engineering? It's more than likely due to its poor investment in schools.

    HA! HA!

You can chisel that question on Obama's political tombstone in 2012.

It may give you some comfort as they pry the boarding pass to Air Force One from his hand.

The DOE Loan Guarantee Program was established under the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and was designed to support eligible projects that avoid, reduce or sequester air pollutants, including anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases using new and innovative technology

Ubama's legacy is a failed recovery and double dip recession.

    Mr. Zero!!!!

That legacy clearly belongs to Ubama with help from Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. Thanks to them, our country hasn’t even had a budget since Obama took office.

    Great going!!!! Now that's leadership!!!

I don't have a statistic for all of the President Bush's years but between 2006-2008 about 100,000 companies filed for bankruptcy.

    http://www.bankruptcyaction.com/USbankstats.htm

Of course I wouldn't blame former President Bush because bankruptcy basically reflects mismanagement. I wouldn't blame President Obama for this probably bankruptcy either... but I would blame the President for the US government's guarantee of the loans.

I doubt if the companies that failed under Bush were underwritten by government loans and policies that Bush personally endorsed.

There have been no allegations of wrongdoing by Nevada Geothermal or its Blue Mountain, Nev., plant.
    Conveniently left out.

Are you inferring with this thread of yours that geothermal technology does not work.

The inference is yours. I'm saying these novelty alternate energy projects are just a waste of money in an economic time where we can ill afford to waste it.
