1 - What is this doing in the Humor & Satire section?

    2 - Abiogenesis:

I did.....I still do not see why this should be in the Humor & Satire section.

PS: You may want to watch the video I posted. Humans knowledge of Abiogenesis has grown. Making fun of older vdeos when humans were guessing isnt very funny.

I blame it all on crystals.

    Because?

As for myself, I'm not so bent out of shape with scientific findings about evolution as Ben is. However, the bit about abiogenesis is hysterical. In the clip, the guy keeps mumbling about life coming about on the backs of crystals. Pretty funny stuff.

Also, the hostility in the scientific community regarding scientists who so much as hint at the thought of intelligent design is on display for all to see in such works as Dawkins "God Delusion".

Perhaps because there is not one iota of evidence to support 'intelligent design'?

And there is evidence to support abiogenesis? LOL.

And this proves what exactly? So they know what the building blocks of life are. (check). They can build a part of the RNA molecule. (check). Do you have any idea how complex the entire RNA molecule is, let alone creating a living cell?

Even Creationists conceed that God formed man out of the dust of the earth. No one dispute the building blocks. However, when scientists say that life came about via "crystals", with no evidence to back them up, they make Creationists look like Sir Isaac Newton.

RNA strands have spontaneously developed in laps. The building blocks of life are plentiful in the Universe. That is a far cry from your suggestion that there is no evidence for Abiogenesis.

Also, the first evidence we have for life on this planet, puts life on this planet some 700 million years after the Earth formed and 300 million years after the oceans formed. No matter how 'complex' life is, given that length of time, it was inevitable that life would form.

Also the Crystals was just a hypothesis. Back when the video was made, there were many hypothesis.

Way to keep up with current events!

    What exactly does that mean?

    Really? Where?

And you get that from what? Carbon dating? In what laboratory does this "evidence" exist?

Inevitable. Is that a scientific term?

How old is the moon? How old is Mars? If they existed just as long, where does that put your inevitability theory? Where are the super-evolved life forms? Or has your dating process proven these to be to young for inevitability to have occurred yet.

Way back then huh? Wow, must have been a whole what? 10-15 years ago, max? Yes indeed, it's only inevitable that out of the 700 millions years from which we have involved, surely the last 15 has given us the true knowledge of our existence.

Why? Because the documentary is based on a fallacy, argument from ignorance.

We can't explain it.... so god did it!

Expelled has been debunked several times over.

You might as well start posting videos from Ken Ham.

To think that life came about without intelligent oversight when those with intelligent oversight can't duplicate a living cell is just absurd to me.

The theory of abiogenesis violates the scientific method because it simply has not been observed and tested nor can be.

    And this proves what?

First of all, who says that God did not use evolutionary systems to create? If so, then it is self explanatory. Secondly, we all have problems sense we all die and have various physical ailments. Is the fact that we die an indication that there is no intelligent design?

That there is no inteligent design, as no designer would make a nerver 20 feet long when all you need os 3 inches

    The bible: genesis 1:24-25

More proof there is no inteligent design. Why create something just to have it die?

The humor forum is definitely the right place for this video. That's funny.

They cut open a giraffe and look at a nerve that is longer than they think it should be and say "a beautiful example of historical legacy as opposed to intelligent design"

I think I saw a big pot of koolaid brewing behind them next to a big bag of solo cups. Gather 'round atheist kiddies, we have a treat for you!

Meh. I suggest reading a biology text book, you obviously do not understand the issue concerning the video.

I am not the one drinking the cool aid here. I am simply pointing out your lack of understanding concerning the issue.
