    This thread IS NOT FLAMEBAITING.

The disproportional rate of crime committed by aboriginals in Australia is by far one of the biggest roadblocks to "racial harmony".

    from here http://www.australian-news.com.au/aborepresent.htm

    and this http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/...olice-chief-says-face-up-to-aboriginal-crime/
Now some people put their heads in the sand and just repeat the mantra "its all white mans fault" the real truth of it is that each person BLACK or WHITE is responsible for their OWN ACTIONS.

Some aboriginal leaders are on the right track as can been seen here http://www.australian-news.com.au/Noel_Pearson.htm
BUT it seems the "we have to feel sorry for em" crowd are not getting it. If you point out the simple fact that abos commit these crimes for their OWN MEANS you get hammered as a racist.

I read New Nation News Forum a lot. They have an Australian crime section. Seems every crime reported in that section is perpetuated by Aboriginals.

Try saying that in aust and you get howled down by leftist fools.

I have a thread going in the aussie section now that the leftists are trying to hijack and howl down. I am just doing my best to get the truth out there.

It's only a roadblock because human beings are fundamentally racist and many revel in rather than resist that. There is no rational reason not to have "harmony" with one man for the sole reason that his skin is the same colour of some other men who committed crimes (but different to your own).

Nothing is all any one persons fault. We most certainly have responsibility for our own actions but you can't ignore environmental, social and financial factors in criminal behaviour. You also can't deny that for many generations the aborigionals in Austrailia were pushed down and kept poor by the dominant powers (who happened to be white, though that is irrelevant). As a group, they're not starting from the same place as any other.

What's wrong with feeling sorry for people? Would you rather hate and resent? The quote you link is on the right track; this kind of problem isn't solved by throwing a (tiny) bit on money at it and hoping it goes away. Poor people in general need real practical support to impove their situation and a real beleif that there is something for them to reach, that they won't just be pushed back down again if they get above themselves.

Some people are idiots but quite frankly if you address such sensitive issues in an inetionally simplistic, agressive and unconstructive manner, you're going to get instinctive (albiet flawed) reactions in kind. A bit less "Abos are criminals!" and a bit more "How do we deal with the problems of crime?" would achieve much better outcomes. Assuming that's what you're really interested in of course.

No, it's using racist words that gets you hammered as a racist.

    Quote:
West Australian Indigenous Affairs Minister Peter Collier says the police commissioner is being "brutally frank" by highlighting that young Aboriginal men are behind most of the burglaries in the state.
    Quote:
"We have an extremely serious problem with Aboriginal juvenile offending and their representation in the justice system when compared with the portion of the population they represent is nothing short of staggering."
So here we have an " extremely serious problem with Aboriginal juvenile offending" that no wants to talk about cos its "racist"....
Seems like all the leftwing nutters are just sticking to the mantra of " its all white mans fault" when in reality its the abos fault.

The fault will lie with all parties. Racism hurts their prospects.

Not wanting to work and just STEAL whatever they want is what is hurting them. Dont give me the "theres no work for them" BS either. If they stayed in school and went into the work force like we ALL have to do then there wouldnt be a problem and as we all know there is a jobs BOOM in WA right now. Nor can you blame it on there not being work where they live, many people MOVE to gain and keep jobs. I have moved all over aust while working and have never had to claim welfare. Abo's find it far easier to sit back on welfare drinking and being lazy all the while sooking about something that happened generations past.

So other than making excuses for abo bad behaviour and advancing the "victim" mentality you have nothing?? No i didnt think so.

The way forward as i see it HAS be involve cutting welfare to those that are welfare dependant. By doing so we can force abos to work just like the rest of us have to. A total zero tolerance to abo's drinking booze should be enforced also, seeing as even the abo leaders concede that booze is a main cause of their problems. We also should apply the same sentencing laws to abos as everyone else when they break the law. I say WHEN not IF..

Aborigines only make up a small fraction of Australia's population (and they were there first).

Should not Australians be much more concerned with all the immigration into their country? There is plenty to say about the hoards of Lebs going around raping Australian women, or the Chinese hogging up business opportunity and the limited slots in the medical schools.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_gang_rapes

when journalist Paul Sheehan reported honestly on the Sydney gang rapes, he was called a racist and accused of stirring up anti-Muslim hatred. And when he reported in his Sydney Morning Herald column that there was a high incidence of crime amongst Sydney's Lebanese community, fellow journalist, David Marr sent him an e-mail stating, "That is a disgraceful column that reflects poorly on us all at the Herald."

Keysar Trad, vice-president of the Australian Lebanese Muslim Association said the gang rapes were a "heinous" crime but complained it was "rather unfair" that the ethnicity of the rapists had been reported.

Journalist Miranda Devine reported during the same rape trials that all reference to ethnicity had been deleted from the victim impact statement because the prosecutors wanted to negotiate a plea bargain.

So when Judge Megan Latham declared, "There is no evidence before me of any racial element in the commission of these offences," everyone believed her. And the court, the politicians and most of the press may as well have raped the girls again.

Retired Australian detective Tim Priest warned in 2004 that the Lebanese gangs, which emerged in Sydney in the 1990s (*) when the police were asleep (*) had morphed out of control. "The Lebanese groups," he said, " were ruthless, extremely violent, and they intimidated not only innocent witnesses, but even the police that attempted to arrest them."

Priest describes how in 2001, in a Muslim dominated area of Sydney two policemen stopped a car containing three well-known Middle Eastern men to search for stolen property. As the police carried out their search they were physically threatened and the three men claimed they were going to track them down, kill them and then rape their girlfriends.

According to Priest, it didn't end there. As the Sydney police called for backup the three men used their mobile phones to call their associates, and within minutes, 20 Middle Eastern men arrived on the scene. They punched and pushed the police and damaged state vehicles. The police retreated and the gang followed them to the police station where they intimidated staff, damaged property and held the police station hostage.

Eventually the gang left, the police licked their wounds, and not one of them took action against the Middle Eastern men. Priest claims, "In the minds of the local population, the police are cowards and the message was, 'Lebanese [Muslim gangs] rule the streets.'"
