He made no comment about SSM polls. And SSM polls only reflect the efficacy of the recent propaganda regarding homosexuality and gay marriage.

Sure thing buddy, you keep believing that. Are you another con that will be whining after June when SSM is legal across the U.S.?

Unfortunately when it comes to homosexuality Christianity teaches hatred and reflects a complete lack of understanding on the issue.

Same-sex marriage is a FOCUS ON THE FAMILY where these couples are involved in the identical family relationships that opposite-sex couples engage in. Their income is shared and they are often raising children (roughly 30% of same-sex couples have children) and sadly many "Christians" are opposed to "Family" values when it comes to homosexual couples.

The social conservatives of today are no different than the social conservatives of the past that lamented the end of slavery and that lamented the end to the prohibitions against inter-racial marriage. They are the same social conservatives that, based upon racism, revoked the right to vote for non-citizens and imposed immigration restrictions in spite of the fact that the US Constitution never supported either action of government. The last thing the "social conservative" supports is the "rights of the person" under the US Constitution.

so, where's your 100% approval rating..listen, we all already know that polls are rigged by either demographics and questions. Just because they say, "I don't care," is not approval

Encouraging and a preference for mothers and fathers providing and caring for their own children together, says nothing about homosexuality

You're correct it doesn't. It however says that family's with parents that are the same sex aren't worthy of recognition because of the parents genitalia.

Seems rather petty to me. Possibly a bit perverted on the anti Ssm side

Where did anyone claim 100% approval rating? You maybe able to show some polls, but you can't seriously claim ALL the polls are rigged. That simply is ridiculous and shows you don't know a thing about polling or statistics. Your rebuttal is equivalent to "Nuh-Uh" like a 4 year old.

The FACT is support over the last ten years for SSM has INCREASED. You cannot intelligently refute that in anyway.

No, they are not in need of the same recognition because with matching genitalia, no children in need of someone to provide and care for them will be produced.

    Not relevant.

Any two people can have children present in their home. Nothing special about those who happen to be gay that could justify such a preference. The preference for biological parents isn't because they are heterosexual, they could be homosexual. It is instead because as the biological parents, they are the only two people legally and morally obligated to provide and care for the children. Without them, they have only the hope that someone else will step forward and voluntarily assume those obligations

You guys have been demonizing all kinds of other people for centuries because they don't believe the same thing you people do.

Don't like it? Then stop the nonsense and stop worrying about how other people live.

And keep your Christianity to yourself. Let others come to you if they're curious about it.

Any preference for biological parents isn't relevant to the discussion.

    http://firstthings.org/father-facts

Apparently Christians don't care about the 24 million children that are without their biological father in America.

Some interesting facts on same-sex couples raising children in America.

    http://www.census.gov/population/www/socdemo/Krivickas-Lofquist PAA 2011.pdf

When it comes to the roughly 24 million children living without their biological father, especially those that are subject to adoption, same-sex couples offer far more in the way of family support to the child than opposite-sex couples.

In point of law the biological parents are not morally or legally obligated to provide for the child. The biological parents can abandon the child at birth at the hospital and have no legal obligations to care for the child. Only if they voluntarily remove the child from the hospital following the birth do they assume any moral or financial liability to provide for the child.

No one claimed they could not reliquish those rights and obligations. Still, "the biological parents, they are the only two people legally and morally obligated to provide and care for the children." Dashing for refuge in a strawman so quickly.

Just cant resist chasing after every strawman you can imagine, can you. Biological parents arent preferred because they are of the "opposite-sex". They are preferred because they are the BIOLOGICAL parents.

Nope. Many biological parents with children couldn't be characterized as responsible and loving, and yet the law keeps them with their biological parents.

Directly contradicts it. Biological parents are given preference even over alternate, more responsible and loving parents. And when a man is married, he is presumed to be the biological parent.
