Are you arguing with me, or yourself? I never asked such, you did twice and only you. Your false understanding of recoil changing the path of a projectile, has been corrected.
In a nut shell, yes. At short distances, up to about 100 yards with rifle, it's pretty much point and shoot. Theres really not much skill involved.
There are 11 States That are Constitution or Free States, all you need is a background check at the time of purchase....that's it
So you are saying that taking guns away from people with impeccable records will stop all murders with guns?
Just like the vast and overwhelming majority of gun owners never kill anyone. How many people will need to be killed deliberately with vehicles before you want them banned?
We don't need a permit, we go in show our DL and fill out a form and they run your name through a FBI/ATF check and you walk out with or without your firearm.
Oh come on...spare me the 'what about' equivalence. Vehicle are used to mass execute and Governments act to minimise the impact. The people at the garlic festival etc etc etc etc were executed by a gun.
No, it would appear a firearm was used. It's a machine that uses rapidly expanding gasses, from a fast burning propellant, to force a projectile up a metal tube, very rapidly.
Frankly I'm ok with it. The majority of mass shootings occur within war zones created by those who dwell within those zones, so no loss there, they do it to themselves. The rest, all things considered, are infrequent enough that I have no reason to be concerned. They're random and rare, considering the U.S. population. It would be a statistical anomaly if I were to stop posting here due to being the victim of a mass shooting... or a shooting of any sort. I accept the possibility of becoming a stat in lieu of the right to defend myself using the same weaponry criminals have.
The only difference is the number you deem acceptable. Governments also act to minimize the criminal misuse of guns. Only one problem, the laws only effect those already respect laws.
Update on that.....4 dead. Two ? shooters. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-07-29/four-dead-in-shooting-at-california-garlic-festival/11362478
Gilroy Police Chief Scot Smithee told reporters in a late-night briefing that Gilroy officers engaged a suspect within a minute of shots ringing out and killed him. https://www.cbsnews.com/live-news/s...cisco-bay-area-live-updates-today-2019-07-28/ The narrative that this tragedy could have been prevented if it wasn't a gun free zone is ridiculous since there were plenty of police presence on site.
How do you know? Who knows what crimes were prevented by passing new laws, the 3 day waiting period, to reduce crimes of 'passion and impulse' for example? Having been an avid cyclist in the USA, my entire life, I assure you that cars pose a far greater threat, than any gun ever has to me, just distracted drivers alone, intentional vehicular assault, not withstanding.
