HockeyDad alerted me to this news and asked me to post a link to the story. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-california-shooting-idUSKCN1UO030
"It was being held at the outdoor Christmas Hill Park, where weapons of any kind are prohibited, according to the event’s website." Well, that didn't work.
You guys know the drill, we won't get the media's masterful interpretation of what happened and why until they know who the shooters are.
Garlic festival... So I guess we can exclude the french or italians from the suspect list. They love garlic too much to shoot up a festival dedicated to it.
Here's a little more https://www.sfchronicle.com/crime/a...ting-at-Gilroy-Garlic-14191974.php?psid=cKiNO
From your SFC article: “If you are looking for a loved one, please go to the reunification center at Gavilan College, at Parking Lot B,” the police statement said. “The hearts of the Gilroy Police Department and the entire community go out to the victims of today's shooting at the Garlic Festival.”
My son actually lived in Gilroy. Up to 1997 I owned a very active appraisal firm and we did appraisals there. I informed him moments ago of this shooting and he says it won't happen here. Here we pack heat.
Maybe treat the dead as more than your political football. Human life may just be worth more than your political agenda. Both sides have had their violent thugs, and we don't know a motive yet. But don't let me get in the way of the cynical partisan posturing.
I'm aware. Hence what you just quoted. At least wait for the bodies too cool before doing a premature political victory dance on the graves of the dead. Too much to ask?
