It’s not unconstitutional so why would you like to outlaw them?

that's not true as to legacies. I have already proven that. Athletic recruits are bringing a valuable SKILL to the University.

    possible answers
    1) lack of understanding about what the constitution and Title VII type laws prohibit
    2) Most Democrats support affirmative racism so their followers will
    3) they were recipients of affirmative racism
    4) or the worst reason-they don't think blacks are smart enough or capable enough to compete without lowered standards

not going to open it up-give us your reasons supporting affirmative racism and why rich black kids-whose parents benefited from lowered standards to attend elite schools-and who now attend wealthy prep schools or elite public schools-need lowered standards to compete against white and Asian kids-often kids who are not more wealthy than they are

affirmative racism was a big issue when I was at Yale. The law school especially where the were no athletic recruits. the difference in the scores between white men and blacks was stupendous-and black women were even lower in the scores.

yet legacy admissions have slightly higher grades than non legacies and often have stronger SAT scores. legacy admissions help poorer kids attend elite schools-and also are more likely to accept an invitation to join the class which also helps the school. if no one gave money to private schools-only rich kids could attend.

Legacy admissions from my understanding is rich white folk buying their child's entry.

I read her dissent. Her insight was basically critical race theory. She sounded an awful lot like Ibram Kendi and not like a judge. Her long-winded emotion diatribe can be best summarized by Ibram Kendi's position on discrimination. "The ONLY remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination."

Racism is wrong. Past racism cannot be fixed by present racism. Racial discrimination was temporarily allowed by the courts with extremely narrow parameters. Universities are not following those parameters because there is no longer the desired outcome. Society has progressed beyond the scope that was previously allowed. The use of racism to get around those parameters is immoral. And the people who support racism against Asian Americans because of something nobody in their bloodline did decades and centuries ago are morally bankrupt.

nope-legacy admissions are children of alums. rich white folks who did not attend cannot confer legacy status on their kids. and since we have 50 years of affirmative action-there are tons of black kids who can claim legacy status at the Ivies. Michelle Obama's kid who went to Harvard (or if one applied to Princeton) for example.

So why didn't your side feel this way before affirmative action?

    Way to lack comprehension.

You didn't have to be alive for your side to exist.

I have always opposed affirmative racism ever since I learned how bad it was in college. I went to a small prep school and while blacks ranked below me got into (Williams, Brown and Duke) I didn't really give it much thought because several white guys who were ranked around the same were accepted into Cornell, Duke, UVa and Rice. When I got to Yale and saw what was going on with those of us who were applying to law schools, I realized how absolutely pernicious affirmative racism was. SO my side has felt that way for decades

Everyone should be judged on their merits, no, your side didn't always feel that way. Otherwise you wouldn't have pushed for things like slavery and Jim Crow. You wouldn't have denied women the right to vote.

conservative is a meaningless term in many cases. it was big government types who hated freedom that pushed those repressive policies. that is currently the left and it was the left back then. it was white Christians who created the bill of rights btw

    As pointed out, I wasn't alive...lol.

Affirmative action should only mean the right of entry or to not be denied based on your identity.

    "As pointed out, I wasn't alive...lol."

Your side existed even before you were born.

"Affirmative action should only mean the right of entry or to not be denied based on your identity"

    That's exactly what it is!

Hot damn I'm so proud of you son! :applause::applause::applause::applause:

How do we celebrate this moment?
