If, as you suggest AI replaces religiosity with its own brand of religiosity, wouldn't this comment of yours then indict the use of AI because certainly it would create yet more religious war? You know, when folks fight back against the inhumanity of the machines? Did you not ever see a Terminator movie?
AI isn't relatable. It doesn't understand what it is to be human. So there can be no conjoining, no being known or knowing, no enlargement of our soul. In fact AI is our creation. So it cannot be our God. A great deal of the problem of religion, even if it is in keeping with scripture, is already the worship of an image of our own creation, which ironically is a form of AI. Which begs the question, who and where is God? In the meantime, we work and struggle to make ends meet, and follow our consciences. Even at that, disputes arise according to the evil that perpetually bubbles up in the human heart. Sloth, envy, covetousness, lust, greed, cruelty, vengefulness, unforgiveness, impatience, etc., are always causing issues between people. So it is people themselves more than religion that is the problem. For this we blame God. A phrase that often comes to my mind from the ancient Jewish Prophet Isaiah is, " The chastisement of our peace was upon him." This means to me that we blame God for our problems. Jesus taught in addressing this discontent that we should repent of our baser instincts, be patient, forgive others trespasses and have faith in him. This may seem trite and self serving, but it really does get at the issue. Everything that Jesus Christ taught was to help people deal with life and injustice. For this they murdered him. And he obliged them out of necessity for the overcoming of death and the world. This is what makes him the way, the truth, and the life.
God is spoken of by man, just as we speak of our Parents. But we are not their creators. Even our Parents who are instrumental in our existence, didn't actually create us or cause our development. That's why it is all considered a miracle.
