Democrats have declared all-out-war on Trump's presidency and liberal media has followed suit after both failed to take Trump's running seriously throughout the election cycle. Now just to set the record straight, I was never a Trump supporter, I was not even Right-leaning, but Democrats crucified themselves by cutting what I am (an Independent) out. In fact Democrats cut out anyone in the primaries that wasn't (a) registered Democrat, and (b) a Super Delegate. So as much as I am not Republican, I am now not a big fan of Democrats. And when I post on anything, my post will be based strictly on the merits of the topic are based using intelligent and informed contemplation. So "yes" I'm always open for debate. I'm always open to having my eyes opened but someone else that can bring forth new information that I had not previously considered that might change my mind.
But today I want to talk about this war the Democrats are waging on Trump after they successfully condemned Republicans for waging an 8 year war against Obama by obstructionism. Yet this hippocracy isn't really what people in my circle discuss. People in my circle typically talk a lot more about Trump's reversal on prosecuting Hillary. But for the purpose of my thread choice I tend to comment on what's happening on MSM. The same MSM that played Trump as the under-dog that got viewers so disgusted with them that they (voters) chose to vote for Trump and get him elected. Now me personally, I was a Bernie supporter, I even "wrote Bernie in" but we all know write-ins don't count unless either a Major Party fails to reach 270 electoral votes in the general (at least I have no regrets). So lets focus on "what is".
President Trump is a very unique President for the US (I hope we can all understand that). Some love him and others hate him, there isn't much middle-room (which makes talking about him a great topic). I am not a big fan of much of what Trump promotes but honestly I have to say that a Trump Presidency is exactly what the US needed, because he's going to push the limits of executive authority in ways they have never been pushed before. And in so doing, he is going to force the legislature to out-line in stone (for the first time in our history) exactly what the bounds and limits of the executive office are. The US Constitution itself really doesn't address that because it was written on the Roman-model which only foresaw the necessity for restricting Congress as we never contemplated a monarchy or dictatorial government. Which I would like to add, is exactly what our current MSM thinks it (the media) is today and so too is the Democrat agenda, when they tell voters that they'll choose for us what is best for "their" interests.
From those most upset with Trump's victory I've heard "repeal" without mention of "replace". I've heard calls for his impeachment before he even set foot in office. And to what end? Don't these Democrats understand that that's exactly the same thing the GOP has wanted since Trump won the Party nomination? Because "outing" Trump means having a President Pence. Republicans would love that, but Pence didn't run for President because Pence knew that he could never win enough votes in the general after the way he turned Indiana into the most bigoted State is the US.
So again I have to state "I am not pro-Tump" but I'm glad we got him in the White House vs Hillary. That might sound conflicting but it really isn't. So please, I'd like to hear from all those that fear Trump, and why, and what alternative you think would be better. Coronations don't qualify. We can talk about immigration policies, nuclear proliferation, the wall, trade-deals, the ACA or whatever. All I ask is that people are civil and have intelligent dialog.
