406 under 18 have died of Covid in US.

    https://data.cdc.gov/NCHS/Provisional-COVID-19-Deaths-Focus-on-Ages-0-18-Yea/nr4s-juj3

CDC does not recommend kids under 12 get the shot.

It would be good to know how many 12-17 yrs olds out of 9 million get inflammation of the heart muscle during normal times. I remember someone here trying to make the point that 30 000 people have died after getting the shot, but they were natural deaths. After all, the shot wont make anyone immortal.

As for Myocarditis, it usually resolves by itself in a few weeks.

I think you are confusing myocardiopathy with arterial sclerosis. Myocarditis leads to Congestive Heart Failure, which is primarily fluid around the heart and inefficient pumping of the blood throughout the body and can cause blood clots if not treated.

My point is that you're expressing concern for the children who suffer side-effects of the vaccine but are ignoring the people who would suffer negative effects of the virus if we do have wide enough vaccine coverage. If it were legitimate to call the people who suffer as a result of expanding the vaccine program "collateral damage", it would be equally legitimate to call the people who would suffer from not expanding the vaccine program "collateral damage" too.

I don't think either statement would be legitimate because the reality is more complex and nuanced that you give it credit for.

causing an immune response does cause some inflammation throughout the body, yes, if they are having this much inflammation, maybe the dose is too high

that said, as many that get the shots, could be they had issues prior that were not caught too and thankfully is now being caught, have to wait and see

I think you have it confused with something else. Typically myocarditis resolves by itself or with medication (antibiotics), but sometimes requires treatment and severe cases always need treatment.

    Treatment
In many cases, myocarditis improves on its own or with treatment, leading to a complete recovery. Myocarditis treatment focuses on the cause and the symptoms, such as heart failure.

In mild cases, persons should avoid competitive sports for at least three to six months. Rest and medication to help your body fight off the infection causing myocarditis might be all you need. Although antiviral medications are available, they haven't proved effective in the treatment of most cases of myocarditis.

Certain rare types of viral myocarditis, such as giant cell and eosinophilic myocarditis, respond to corticosteroids or other medications to suppress your immune system. In some cases caused by chronic illnesses, such as lupus, treatment is directed at the underlying disease.

Oh Capitan, Sharyl Attkisson is the journalist who exposed Fast 'n Furious. She's the one who has sued the government for hacking into her computer.

You are both right. Severe myocarditis which is prolonged can lead to heart failure.
Milder forms of myocarditis can still lead to elevated or much higher risk of developing other complications.

Symptoms of myocarditis can range from mild fatigue and chest pain that resolves on its own, to heart rhythm irregularities, cardiac arrest and even death in rare severe cases. The majority of cases resolve with no long-term effects. So far most of the cases of myocarditis that have been associated with the COVID-19 vaccine shot have not resulted in serious complications. The flu vaccine is also known to sometimes cause myocarditis.

400 out of 8.9 million with about 9% being serious. That is 1:222,000

The incidence of myocarditis among children is normally about 1:100,000

You probably don't realize this, but those two statistics are like apples and oranges, and not really directly comparable. The 1:100,000 is lifetime incidence in children, whereas the 1:222,000 is within several weeks after receiving the vaccine.
There are 938 weeks in 18 years, so you can do some math if you really want to do a more accurate comparison of those figures.
