I heard a sermon by Evanglist Ron Dart in the late 1980's or early 1990's that I still think about quite a lot.

The sermon was entitled "Your Hostility Quotient" and I know that it was somewhere on this page:

    https://rldea.com/audio-sermon-archive-2

Hopefully I will find the direct link to the sermon for post number two here.

One of the things that my old church, The Worldwide Church of God would do, was read and re-read "Fox's Book of Marty's" every few years......... and continually speculate on how world events were leading to something similar happening to us with a decade or so?!

I found the sermon... it is on the far left hand side about sixteen rows from the top.

    Do I know hostile Christians?
    Maybe.

But I surely know people who are hostile towards Christians.

Hostility in Christians tends to increase as fundamentalism increases.

But no, Dennis, you yourself are far from hostile. You are very chill.

    Thank you......
I have a serious case of what could be termed "Grandfather Complex."

I actually think that everybody that I meet is likely either my grand daughter or grandson from one or more of my possible past lives.......

so you know how grandparents tend to be with grandchildren......

It is challenging for grandchildren to deeply offend their grandparents......

    King James Bible
"Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." (Psalm 119:165)

I have zero conscious memories related to any particular past life......
but I was given some interesting hints.......
see post number sixty seven if you are interested......

Because Latter day Saints get invited and recruited by the CIA and NSA and FBI some of them may soon be in a position to do something about the level of hostility worldwide toward the most persecuted Christians on earth...... Pentecostals and Charismatic Christians.

Latter day Saints are also some of the most INTELLECTUAL Christians that I have ever ran into in my life...........

they seem to have much more so of a balanced "Christian sense of humour".... (whatever that is).... and they have what appears to me as a LOW HOSTILITY QUOTIENT.... which seems to correspond to a high level of fear that other Christians want to put us into some variation of a re-education camp or UnVaccinated detention centre.........

Latter day Saint missionaries have NOT GIVEN UP ON YOU AND I DEATH........
    AND THEY NEVER WILL......
these people are so nice that if you and I fail............

they might well follow you and I into "hell / Gehinnom" itself in order to try their best to save us.........

The average Latter day Saint reminds me to some degree of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov..... or Rabbi Alon Anava or even of Rabbi Yeshua........ (or Rabbi Yeshu if you prefer)........

Shalom Jolly Penguin....... you are correct..... I am rather chill...... I actually met a member of the Nephilim two or three times and it was astonishing how polite and diplomatic that he was to me.

I strongly suspect that he knew that my mom was partly from the Tribe of Dan......
that my dad was an Ephrayimite and my dad's mom was a woman from the Lost Tribe of Zeraite Jews, (the slightly younger twin brother to Phraez who was given the kingship in spite of the fact that Zerah put out his little hand...... before his brother was born)!

I suspect that the member of the Nephilim that I met... .who looked like the proverbial Pan......
was hopeful that I might just fulfill an ancient Jewish apocalyptic role that I suspect I could rival President Donald J. Trump for if I were to choose to do so.......

Should Israel crown Donald J. Trump as Moshiach ben Ephrayim?

This is actually a rather serious option because the history of WWII proves that a constitutional monarchy comes in really handy during a time of extreme crisis.

COVID 19 has certainly put the world economy into a pretty serious economic crisis.

Orthodox Jewish scholar and historian Mr. Yair Davidiy explains the logic for this possibility:

    https://britam.org/messiah.html

    Yair Davidiy:

To be blunt.... I was about to do something off the scale STUPID.... imbecilic... moronic... and dumb beyond belief.........

but I was praying about it first.... and I had what might have been an open vision......

I saw what sure looked like hell.......

I saw a large half man half goat person on a stone throne... and he simply asked me.....

    "What doest thou here Elijah?"

I looked to the right and saw darkness......

then I looked left and saw darkness.......

then I clued that he meant me.......

and I decided against doing the extremely stupid thing that I had planned on doing!!!!!??????

I've known (and am related to) many hostile Christians and many non-hostile Christians. Same goes for all other religions. And, dude, @DennisTate , you may be the most non-hostile Christian I've ever met, I'd say you are probably the most non-hostile Christian on the forum, and you may very well be the most non-hostile PERSON on the forum, regardless of religion.

I guess it's a matter of how one might define the word offend.

Once upon a time, grandparents were essentially "second parents" [if they happened to live long enough]. In that capacity, I must assume they were offended on a regular basis.

COVID simply brought to a fever pitch that which has been simmering beneath the surface for many, many decades...the praxis of propagating irrational fears [obfuscating the widespread systemic fraud and corruption] the among the populace and proscribing further corporate/state authoritarianism as antidote.

We are now in the end game of a process begun over a century ago with the establishment of the third iteration of central banking in the U.S. [in 1913]. The deal was sealed in 1971 when the dollar went 100% FIAT and it was only a matter of time before the bankers and politicians did what bankers and politicians ALWAYS do [in a FIAT environment]...counterfeit the currency. After all, if you had a printer in your basement that produced perfect USD100 bills, could you resist the temptation?

God works in strange ways indeed...

I don't see you as hostile, but somewhat confused by a lot of extraneous sophistry, and probably susceptible to cultism and being misled, particularly an obsession with genetics and the bizarre notion that Jews are a 'race'. They aren't; monotheism implies universalism, and this is clearly pointed out by Jesus himself.

    Galatians 3:26-29 NKJV

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Forget the Babylonian scams imposed by Ezra, along with the 'racial purity' rubbish the developed from that nonsense to the times of Jesus; it was all nonsense and had nothing to with Moses are Abraham or any of that, it was just a scam to set themselves up as the authorities with Cyrus footing the bill. There is a reason there were no more great Prophets after the return from exile of the Babylonians, except one, and he completed Judaism. The rest is all counterfeit cult rubbish.

I find Christians to be a friendly and agreeable sort. Apart from the ones who tell me I'm going to burn in Hell for being a sinner that is.

    Wow!!!!!

    Thank you!!!!!!

I do know that reading so many near death experience accounts has essentially all the burning questions that I faced back in 1988 to the year 2000.
