A customer was working at the time on my former 1973 Lincoln MK IV that at that point I had a custom body builder restore the body to new. And he painted my car a metallic dark grey. Anyway, my customer was installing the new vinyl top so it was also new. The engine and transmission were completely rebuilt and performance parts added about 100 more horsepower. Why the Lincoln? First due to the very long hood and the short rear profile for the trunk, I figured it would be a sure hit as a classic car. Anyway, that car is history. After I bought the new cadillac STS, it was more important than the Lincoln. So what is this about? The man replacing the top on the MK IV asked me if I wanted to drive that Ferrari in the shop of his. I went to look at and said, you bet I want to drive it. Then he said after you drive that, you can then drive this car. I drove it too. You must be used to super fast cars or practice in a fast car first. That was why he had me drive the Ferrari first. See those two black rectangles between the head lights on the front section of that hood? Those start to rise at speeds of about 150 mph and are there to add down pressure on the front wheels. Engine is rear of the driver and has plenty of power. I was told it has 500 hp but later i checked on the specks and it is more like 400 plus horsepower. still you will feel like you blasted off. The car can quickly make you think you are the top driver in the world driving sports cars. It does that much for you. Trouble is, you are not the top driver. So if you get to drive one, be careful. That roofline feels like your kids cars are higher than this car. See how little to the roof from the wheels tops. The sound inside the car had a powerful engine sound with a pitch almost like a turbocharger. A kind of whine as you revved it up to about 11,000 rpm. This comes close to the Ferrari though the year I drove was newer.
