…..people started to see and showed up to school board meetings and were met with complete disdain of which I had a front row seat to for years. They were shocked.”

It was something to behold as school board members kept “doubling down,” Ziegler explained. She said it was almost as if the school board members and the left “didn’t know how to change their behavior because they’ve been doing it so long and normally people burn out, they go away.”

That was not happening this time.

In her experience, Ziegler said it takes more time to see a change, “but they [the left] can’t help themselves because they’re so drunk on the power and shameless.”

“Because historically, they’ve been able to run out the clock,” she said, identifying that tactic as a basic in the playbook of education.

That’s what is “wild about this moment,” she said, as these issues she has been fighting for are finally mainstream. “It’s just like — I use this phrase a lot, but I feel like I was screaming in a crowded room but no-one would hear me.”

    The Continued Fight

It will be “interesting” to see how this continues to play out moving forward, particularly ahead of the midterm elections, Ziegler noted. The battle against Critical Race Theory (CRT), for example, was fresh in Virginia, serving as a catalyst for Youngkin’s victory. But in Florida, parents were not subjected to two years of closures, remote learning, and forced masking (outside of 11 counties). DeSantis listened to parents and waged a war against it all, long before the Democrat Party and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) decided to loosen mandates because they were getting crushed in the polls. But in other places in the country, she said, parents are grappling with some of those issues. Ultimately, she said it “remains to be seen” how this plays out in the future, as parents likely will not forget what the left put them through.
“It’s almost Marie Antionette-style ‘Let them eat cake,’” she said. “They’re so disregarding.” And still, people are still showing up – those who never voted or paid attention — “and those people are mobilizing and activating people,” she added.

Some parents, she said, may not be as vocal, but when it comes down to decision time, “it’s hard to forget the complete disregard that they were met with when it came to policy decisions impacting their children.”

The left is “going to try very hard to make them forget … and try to flip the script,” she warned, noting there are “still a lot of people who are just fed up with government institutions in and of itself.”

“And I think you’ll see more conservative and even moderates all in to see — certainly for someone like Gov. DeSantis and school board members willing to serve parents and serve the people,” she said.

However, Ziegler warned that the left will pull out all the stops to create their narrative and brand their opponents in a very particular way, “just like they do with DeSantis.”

They use extreme labels and see what sticks, she said.

“That is their playbook. And they do it well. And they play nasty” to maintain their power,…

his woman is doing a great job in her state. She has been in the school board battles for years and knows where all the bodies are buried. Florida and Virginia are at the leading edge of parents fighting to take back some say over the education of their children. She has a great ally in Governor De Santis.

Bridget Ziegler is a great American. She’s a young pioneer in the battle to protect parents rights in the education of our children.

Conservative Sarasota County School Board member Bridget Ziegler, who has been battling the left’s monopoly on education for years, told Breitbart News Saturday that school boards across the country follow a “playbook,” which furthers their monopoly. She urged fellow parents to push back, because they are “on the right side of history.”

Ziegler, who works in the private sector, has served on the Sarasota County School Board for eight years — something she previously never thought she would do, not having thought about running for public office, although she said she has always been passionate about children’s issues. When a vacancy came up in the school board in 2014, her husband urged her to run, and that is when the true fight began.

“When I stepped off that ledge, you know, I went full throttle,” the mother of three said.

To her surprise, many of the “common sense” issues she ran on were “taboo,” including parental rights, limited government, and school choice. And, as a result, the teachers’ union “went crazy.” Her eyes were opened even further at a National School Board Association meeting, where speakers bashed the governor, the legislature, and programs “which we as conservatives were very vocal about supporting,” she said. “It didn’t make any sense.”

Ziegler said it is especially important to highlight that “there is a playbook, and, what I think so many people have now realized, as the result of the great parent awakening after COVID, the same playbook that happens in Sarasota County happens across the state and happens across the country. And it’s largely based on indoctrinating local policy officials all the way down to professional development [given] to the educators, and that trickles down to indoctrinating our students with a very left, progressive agenda.”

The left’s tactics to push this agendaforward, she explained, involve silencing and intimidation. However, parents are now waking up and realizing what is happening...

So, would she fight to make teaching about Japanese internment camps during WW2 more important in teaching history to the yonkers? Or would she fight to make the John Wayne movie The Alamo as the only one acceptable when teaching about Texas Revolution in American History?

    Public supports Don't Say Gay

"The media has lied about Florida's proposed Parental Rights in Education law by calling it a Don't Say Gay bill instead of its actual name."

The words don't and say and gay are not in the bill.

They always lie, and always in the service of the agenda being pushed by Democrats.
Groomers in schools perverts at Disney World
    Birds of a feather
"Fortunately, Americans are standing tall against corporate America push to groom kids."

Lying Politico reported on their lying attempt at a failed push poll.

"The poll asked respondents about Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, dubbed the 'Don’t Say Gay' bill by opponents. The measure prohibits teachers from leading classroom discussions on sexual orientation and gender identity in kindergarten through third grade and seeks to ban such lessons for other grades unless they are 'age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate.'"

"The poll did not ask about the Parental Rights in Education bill."

"The poll asked about that imaginary Don't Say Gay bill. By using those words, pollsters threw a censorship that doesn't exist into the mix."

"The poll prefaced each question with, "As you may know, the Florida legislature has passed a bill – labeled by opponents as the Don’t Say Gay bill – limiting the teaching of sexual orientation and gender identity to Florida school students. Some say that limiting these discussions will protect children from inappropriate classroom topics, while others say it will block important conversations about LGBTQ issues. To what extent do you support or oppose the following items in the bill?""

Their deliberate attempts to skew the results failed and majorities approved of the bill's two main goals.
    • 50% support "banning the teaching of sexual orientation and gender identity from kindergarten through third grade." 34% oppose.
    • 52% support "Limiting lessons on sexual orientation and gender identity after third grade to ’age appropriate’ discussions." 33% oppose.

Don't Groom Kids. Or the Let Kids Be Kids law.

Staying on the topic of the article at the top of the thread would be helpful.

Considering what I suggested is part of the Rights image of what CRT may be, that is why I included those topics. Both topics invoke racism of some nature into the conversation. And the right thinks that CRT extorts racism.

What exactly IS the topic of the thread? All I read is a lot of vauge posturing about what conservatives like her are "fighting" for. Like what? What is the "playbook" that is being "followed"?
The fact is that this is the prime example of the fake "culture wars" that Republicans are pushing for the midterm elections. The "issues" are nonsense and nonexistent.
