There’s so much wrong with that post it’s hard to know where to start

NYC WAS overwhelmed. That’s not even in doubt

The hospital ship and the outdoor facilities were set up NOT for Covid. It was to handle “normal” issues since the basic hospital staff and services WERE overwhelmed.
What ended up happening was that people were too afraid to go NEAR a hospital unless they were dying so that “use” became extraneous.
By the time those facilities were converted to Covid treatment centers the peak had already occurred and they were not needed

As far as the rest... had Trump stopped travel more competently from Chine and at ALL from Europe... NY would not have gotten hit the way it did

 

It was to handle basic hospital services indeed but not because they were overwhelmed but because they were worried about spreading the contagion. And by the Trump did stop both just as soon as it become known there was a problem. Americans could come home but they had to stay under quarantine and military bases were set aside for that purpose.

 

So where is Dr Fauci? Dr. Birks? Quarantined or hiding?

 

We also have 15 percent of the global GDP. We also lead the world as an international destination for airlines and cargo.

Comparing the United States to Guatemala where most residents have never left their State and thus don't carry the virus doesnt make sense.

Further, if you compare the US to similar sized, similar economies, its actually quite comparable.

 

There was an international pandemic. People die from these things all over the world. I dont understand people trying to make this political.

Unless you can prove Trump made the virus, its as foolish as blaming him for flu deaths.

You obviously haven't read the OP.

 

We've already discussed the reasons this is (or appears to be) the case, in other past threads.

America is like a First World country in terms of having availability of testing, yet America is more like a Third World in many respects than any other First World country.

Those two facts combined together explains why America would have the most confirmed cases.

If you applied American-style standards of testing in Mexico, Brazil, or certainly South Africa or India, you'd find more cases.


I've stated repeatedly in other past threads that once you understand that America is like a First World country existing side by side in tandem with a Third World country, many of the seeming paradoxes about America relative to other parts of the world start making sense.

You claim coronaviruses in the United States are up percapita. You blame Trump.

Its pointed out that per capita, the urban areas of the United States have more infected, but you won't blame democrat leadership in those areas.

No. This is the best covid response in the entire world, ever in history. We are doing sooo much better than anywhere else. The whole problem is that we test more, probably we test too much.

 

Testing more is sane, testing less is insane. If you can't see that, there is no point in any conversation with you on this subject.

The agenda being advanced was terrorism of the US populace.

We had constantly pounded into our heads horror stories of our medical facilities being over run by Covid patients. A steady diet of pictures and tear jerking comments. The agenda was terror, not public health and not the telling of truth.

In the end the curve was flattened, but many stories were told of ICU facilities being at 110% and such. In the end, the world did not end.

In the end, our medical facilities, at least some of them, rode the Gravy Train on the CARES Act and made bunches of $.

Great stat. Now tell us what percent of America's white population got the virus. As a middle class white, I know of one college kid that got the virus (far less than 4% of the people I know). I have come to the conclusion that Democrats want to kill as many Blacks as possible by getting them to join protest movements so they can spread the pandemic amongst themselves. I wonder how many excess black fatalities that has caused. As an added bonus, they have burned out communities, homicide rates that are up over 100% and a mass exodus of the white middle class and business.... that will surely improve their situation. Activism that makes your situation objectively and meaningfully worse.... that makes a lot of sense.

Stay out of Red states and stay out of Red communities. We are doing just fine, thank you very much.

 

I figured you knew me by now. Now reread that post you quoted with your sense of humor by your side. Its just a little too pitch perfect, isn't it?

 

People are people. All virus flourish more in crowded areas no matter the country. So, red or blue is a false correlation, the correct correlation is crowded versus uncrowded.

People in cities are just as much people as they are in rural areas. Trump is supposed to be president of the entire country not just rural areas.
