When it comes time to pay the Piper what will you do? Welfare reform may mean not stuffing your belly on the dollar of another and facing real hunger for the first time in your life. The liberals giving everything away and regulating business out of the country will not know how to act. I am glad conservatives have their guns.

This in no way lets the right off the hook but there again they did not give it all away did they?

We need to clean up our act fast and that both sides can agree upon that. We all need to get off our high horses and work together to save our children's future.

If things really came to an extreme, obviously the working people would take everything back from the rich thieves and probably hang them. Be careful when you get at those who lie for your masters: you need them desperately.

Any "poor thieves" who would chose to steal via violence than earn as per the law will find themselves looking down the barrel of a few guns at our home... Just sayin.

Not that I disagree with the sentiment, but considering just how heavily armed the American population is, how can you possibly have enough guns?

If people become THAT desperate in large numbers... forget the scenario you painted above... it'll probably be more like Syria is now.

We'd be wise, to NOT let it deteriorate to that degree.

Well I am looking at Alaska:) Low population and big areas.

I can arm a squad sized force and it will not be worth trying to get to me with less than an armored vehicle.

Going against an entrenched force it is recommended to outnumber the enemy by 4 to one. Now depending on the weapons being used that can vary greatly. However there is only so much ammo that is pre loaded:) I roll my own so that would not be an issue.

I also doubt that it would come to a massive armed conflict. Skirmish here or there but for the most part rural areas will be fairly safe.

I regularly keep wolf packs off my dogs, bears out of my kitchen, and moose out of my lilac; I doubt these particular thieves will be much of a problem. They are welcome to come in packs so as to even the odds though...

Also, is there really anything BUT rural areas up here in Alaska? :D

Huh, another reichpublican screaming the sky is falling. Remember it was republicans who caused the great depression. It was republicans who caused the market collapse in 87 and it was republicans that caused the collapse in 2008.

We do not need more republicans 'helping' when it comes to running the nation. You all need to sit back and do what you do well i.e wearing white sheets and burning crosses.

Wrong. It was Keynesian economic policy that caused all of those.

Of course. Why do you think they're always complaining about income taxes?

I do hope you are not trying to imply that being wealthy means they would NOT serve their country in the military...

My husband is a war veteran and top graduate of West Point. My step-father, also wealthy through different means than my family, served as well; was the head of the Army National Guard, and after retirement became the head of the Military Youth Academy for troubled teens.

I'd caution everyone to be careful about blindly subscribing to the stereotype some would have you believe about the "wealthy." Most of us wealthy are NOT the greedy monsters your rich politicians will point their fingers at in order to get your votes... My husband has worked 3 jobs for the past 18 years to earn every thing we have bought.

Some of us are not wealthy either. Some of us have the good life at times. I mean we (my wife and I) own everything but our home and we could live on one person making Min wage. We were (well we tried to be and it is fine thus far) smart with how we spent/spend our money.

We did not buy into the home fiasco and we took a standard mortgage not an arm. I cant get a bail out either because I managed not to (*)(*)(*)(*) up my life. It would be nice to get in on some of those sweet interest rates and those programs that allow one to re-negotiate a contract that they signed for free.

Unfortunately I believe you have to have bought into more house than you could afford in order to qualify for that helping hand.

We've been calling it "house poor" for at least 6 years now...

Even though socialism has been a bloody, evil failure everywhere else, it will work in the US because we are somehow different than all the other murderous socialists.

Vast numbers of quite ordinary Americans believe they are in the top 1%, you know. I don't believe the really rich either work or fight, ever, except for their trough-monoply.
