You seem really confused. More Democrats watch the SOTU when their person is speaking versus the opposite. According to the Rasmussen poll, about 33% Republicans versus 57% of Democrats, were planning on watching. That is about a 2 to 1 margin, which very closely mirrors the approval/ disapproval that you quoted. People that frequent political message boards tend to be people that follow politics closely, and thus are more likely to be in the group that DOES watch the SOTU much more so than does the general population.

In other words, you can be speaking with Republicans in here that did watch the debate, and while Republicans in general watched much less than did Democrats, yet the person to whom you are speaking is in the group that did watch.

 

Wait, what'd I miss? Did he blow some cold air as well?

I listened to it and was impressed. He sounds like he is a genius, doing so much on his own while working against Congress. Trouble is, much of what he says is untrue and like many of the lies Democrats tell, most people believe it and that's why they always vote Democrat. It's always the Republican's fault. The biggest lie he told is how this was such a big recovery. when it's been one of the worst and it's his policies that made it so. I wanted to make sure I prove it by using web sights that isn't slanted to the Right.

It's Obama's policies to not get us involved in Iraq again after pulling our forces out, that has us in war again and caused the biggest migration to Europe that they have ever seen. Which will change Europe forever and tens of thousands of those refugees are also headed here.

 

While a lot of jobs have been created under his administration, he doesn't tell us what kind of jobs they are and if he had, we would know why it is one of the worst recoveries ever. It seems Bernie Sanders knows, although I am sure if he weren't running for President himself, he would have never told us.

I know most of you Democrats have heard this and most of you have repeated it often. It's the do nothing Republican dominated Congress that's at fault. They won't do anything and that's why Obama can't get anything done and takes executive action. But is that true?

The OP is laboring under a false assumption. Most Americans thot that the SOTU speech was a pack of lies and half truths. They think it was a pathetic attempt to make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

 

Obama has been pushing to get these illegals, legal for years. Telling us how good they will be for the economy and all taxes they'll bring in. But is that true? It seems like before he became President, he wrote in one of his books how bad they are for blacks, blue collar worker and our welfare system. If anything, what he wrote is much closer to the truth. Using plain common sense should tell us, most of these illegals can't speak English and are poorly educated. Few of these will make enough to make over the government poverty line and if your under the government poverty line, you won't pay a dime in Federal taxes. Yes, they will pay city and state taxes, but if they have children, they'll use up about as much tax dollars as they take in. This wind fall is a lie. As a matter of fact, we can lose big time as they still would file Federal taxes and can claim tax credits for every child they have and get back thousands of dollars, even though they paid nothing into Federal taxes. With the new law Obama passed last year, those that have lived here can go back and file for up to three additional years. Which means thousands of dollars more they can get. Older illegals would be able to collect Social Security, even though they paid nothing into it.

So how did I like Obam's speech? It sounded great and if I didn't know better I would think he was a miracle worker. But I know better and I know most of it was a pack of lies. But count on the news organizations to go right along with most of his lies and even manufacture lies for him where they didn't exist.

 

No surprise since he is the USA's best president since Democrat Clinton.

I can readily answer as a former IRS agent - birth certificates are routinely asked for during the audit when one claims a dependency for a child. As for FactCheck, you right wingers have no trouble with its findings when they are not in Obama's favor so you should have no problem with it now.
