Republican governor throws weight behind Trump impeachment inquiry, becomes first to do so https://www.foxnews.com/politics/phil-scott-impeachment-trump Give it some time. They didn't want to impeach Nixon either. At first.
You are missing the distinction, the he was credible, was because of his position and yes he would have discussions with those people so it could be true. That doesn't change the fact it's all anonymous hearsay. The complainer has no means of knowing what he was told is true. Would be throw out of court in a heartbeat. Second the transcript doesn't show anything impeachable but quite conversely a President trying to enforce the law and protect our elections and we the taxpayer from foreign corruption.
You do realize we will end up with a President Pense who will be able to be elected twice after he becomes President. And I would LOVE to see a President Pense. I don't like Trump for a variety or personal reasons. But this is about the Presidency and an attempt by Congressional Democrats to shift the balance of power WAY over to them. Forget an elected President just let them choose who they can control. If you don't like what Trump did trying to get Ukraine to assist, as they are bound to under treaty, into possible criminal and corrupt activities then vote him out of office. This is NOT a subject for a partisan political impeachment.
You've got it All WRONG. Trump CLEARLY Engaged in a Blatant Abuse of Power. The Article of Impeachment Should be ONE COUNT. Abuse of Power (based on the Ukrainian Phone Call). A very narrow investigation that can be wrapped up quickly, vote to Impeach, and sent to the Senate.
What is the abuse of power? We have a treaty to cooperate and assist each other in criminal investigations. What are you denying here: That doesn't change the fact it's all anonymous hearsay. The complainer has no means of knowing what he was told is true. Would be throw out of court in a heartbeat.
Man that story has be debunked so many times it is not worth talking about anymore. Joe Biden wasn't breaking any law.
You're saying the video of him bragging about how he extorted the Ukraine President to fire their AG threatening to withhold funds is a fake?
It isn't per se "Fake". BUT, The FAKE RW "Mischaracterization" of it is Total BS. ^And Everybody KNOWS it.
Of course, this poll was TAKEN...BEFORE...The Ukrainian Shoe Dropped... I am sure the results would be Much DIFFERENT...TODAY... ^So, There's That.
There's not much scientific about it, because it works solely on the assumption that taking a sliver of a population and asking them a question will objectively(even with a margin of error) equal how every person feels. You can believe it if you want, which I assume you do since it matches your feelings. This poll, from another thread, has "America" at 43-43. Did America change it's mind that quickly? https://www.politico.com/story/2019/09/26/poll-support-impeachment-trump-1515012
And your point is what? That some people wanted to impeach him before the general public? That's not uncommon on any political issue. Most people opposed Obamacare and now support it. Most people opposed the first gulf war and yet now it's seen as a clear victory that was well proportioned and maintained balance in the middle east. Leadership sometimes is convincing the public of the best alternative even if it's not the right one. That said, I'm not saying those calling for impeachment two years ago are visionary leaders, I'm simply pointing out that your post doesn't mean Trump shouldn't be impeached because the public doesn't agree with it in that poll. Impeachment is never popular nor should it be. https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-ta...isis-eroded-public-support-for-richard-nixon/ It wasn't until AFTER the courts ordered the Nixon tapes released that public support for impeachment was above 50%. And those tapes being released were literally the smocking gun, to borrow your boy's phrase. It wasn't like they were needed to know Nixon was obstruction justice, lying, and otherwise no longer fit to remain in office. The investigation into Watergate started before the 1972 election. Impeachment is a long process for good reason and public support isn't always quick to catch up.
So you believe that collusionists were interested in justice? 2 sides of the same ugly coin. Government power should be limited to a level you would give your worst enemy. Those cheering for Impeachment will soon complain about the same abuse they condoned.
I am not cheering for impeachment, but I am cheering for oversight to be done that ensures the public that no laws or statutes were broken.
I am looking at two sides drunk with power sucking the life out of American tax payers fighting over control. Pitting one against another keeps them in control.
IDK why you bother. All any right winger has to do is make up a charge against any democrat, and no amount of debunking removes it. The mere suggestion becomes indelible fact, further evidence only entrenches them further.
"They" are supposed to be "We". The government has forgotten who works for who. The problem is that they abuse power and still get reelected.
