Are any of you here old enough to remember a TV miniseries called "Amerika" staring Kris Kristofferson, Marial Hemingway, Sam Neil, Robert Urichabout a Russian engineered takeover of this country? What are the chances of something of that nature actually concurring here in the present and escalating condition of chaos and division? Have heard it said there are too many gun owners in the US for something like that to happen here. But what if those same gun owners were brainwashed enough to assist a foreign entity with government takeover? Haven't we done that exact thing to other countries?

It wont be Russia or China or Iran or any other nation that 'takes over' America. It will be Americans under the control of the various far-left progressive Marxist entities that take over - and honestly in many ways they already have. If we breakdown the four general sectors of our economy we can see just how much progress Marxists have made in seizing control. Primary sector - Energy/raw materials - Marxists currently do not have dominate control over this sector but its no secret they place extremely high priority on obtaining it. The New Green Deal is specifically designed as an all-in-one takeover of this sector. Secondary sector - Utilities/Manufacturing - We see how Marxists in various states, California being a great example, hold dominion over utility companies and this will only grow with their power. Manufacturing remains one of the hardest elements for them to gain control over due to the safeguards of a free market, however they are no less dedicated to controlling this one as well as seen in the various crippling trade deals they orchestrate and how they block Pres Trump's efforts to break us free from them. Tertiary sector - Telecom/Retail/Entertainment - Marxists have America's entertainment industry locked down there's no question about that and they use it to perpetuate cultural-Marxism per design. Retail is controlled passively through the threat of 'woke' retaliation ie carry our message or we burn your shop down. And telecom is basically theirs if viewed in respects to the internet and its critical importance to the exchange of free thought which is something Marxist forbid outright; hence Twitter/Facebook/YouTube/Reddit/Instagram/and so on censorship effforts. Quaternary sector - Education/Public Infrastructure - Marxists own this through and through, they have an absolute death-grip on public education in nearly every single school district and college/university - their attacks on school choice, charter schools, etc are designed to sustain this.

I love Kristofferson's music, but I don't remember Amerika. I do remember Red Dawn, and loved it. This government, maybe the country too, is owned by Israel for many years. Russia seeks peace and prosperity, and it does not want to take over this country. They might seek revenge for what we did to them with Yeltsin, but otherwise they just want peaceful coexistence.
I feel like a Chinese or Russian overlord would have far more support among those who oppose guns. I mean, its not a rule, but gun owners typically tend to be much more pro-America.
Then why don't they stop invading Eastern Europe and spreading misinformation and discourse in our elections?

The days of the Soviet Union are long gone. What countries have they invaded since then? If you're talking about Crimea, cry me a river, pardon the pun. They speak Russian in Crimea, and the voters were happy to rejoin Russia. Likely the same will happen soon in Belarus.
I actually do remember watching the mini-series, and I remember Robert Urich playing a general of the new nation of 'Heartland' made out of several midwest states. But I'm not sure it has much in the way of lessons for today, any more than Red Dawn does.

China can be easily behind a lot of the riots. It’s not difficult to drum this **** up on social media. Not hard to send people into crowds masked up to goat others into violence. China can easily be behind many Democrat leaders spouting what amounts to insane Communist rhetoric. Slip them a few million and maybe set them up for life and they’ll say anything. Pay people all over social media to repeat insane crap. Pay people in govt to leak info. Pay journalists to write insane lies.
I know that Victoria Nuland of State Dept helped overthrow a legitimate government and install our guy. What else is there to know? I know Antonov aircraft are built there.

Russia didn't shoot down MH17. The US government wants you to believe that, but it's not true. The government wants you to believe that somebody drinking bat soup in Wuhan started this clusterfuck Covid, but that's not true either. Ukraine and Russia have been bound culturally and politically since before the US was born.
I have not heard the Govt say anything about bat soup.....dont think anyone knows 100 percent where it came from....maybe the Chinese do, but they havent' let anyone in to study. It was shot down with Russian supplied missile, by a group backed and supported by Putin
MH17 was shot down by cannon fire from a Ukrainian fighter seen and heard by peasants in the field nearby. BBC reported it early, but several days later was taken down. The damage to the cockpit from cannon fire was plain to see to the trained eye. The Canadian investigating for OSCE, Michael Bociurkiw commented on that, but it was never seen on US TV.
