Photos of the dogs rescued from the Amish farm, owned by Jonah Beachy, speak volumes. The dogs are covered in mats, their fur is caked in dirt and feces, and the water containers are filthy. Amazingly, Beachy did not see a problem with the condition of the dogs who were in his care, stating: I didn't see that they were in that bad of shape, but they said they were. I didn't argue. This cold-blooded bastard and all the rest of them should be jailed. Just b/c they're Amish shouldn't excuse them from cruelty to animals. What did the authorities do to this guy?
I don't think he's had his day in court yet, this incident happened a few weeks ago. This is common amongst the Amish though. He'll probably get a slap on the wrist and get back to his puppy mill. I know one thing, if I catch another one hunting on my land (*)(*)(*)(*) is going to hit the fan.
That is a great movie concept! Although I guess it depends on whether they regard the zombies as people or not. They're pacifists, so if the Amish think of them as human, zombies will go bite crazy in an Amish community. But if they think of them as either demons or animals, then yeah, the Amish will be the last ones still standing.
I was born in the Shiloh section of York. Right smack dab in the middle of Amish country. They are a very stern, judgemental, unhappy, and nosey people, among other things. They nibby-nose and gossip as a way of life. You always feel like you are being leered at and sneered at. Sometimes I think that those people hate the concept of free will. Its like they wish everybody was a robot. Its like life scares them. They are afraid to live. Hex signs and superstitions abound. Old wives tales and old sayings are lived by. They wish everybody was like them, so they don't like outsiders very much.
