If it were not for drluggit on this forum I would be unlikely to even know who Thomas Malthus was but now that I have researched his theories I am convinced from my thirty years of researching near death experience accounts that he would really like to have an apology written in his name that may remind some of you of the book "Scrooge" by Charles Dickens in 1843. ©by Dennis Patrick Tate 2020 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malthusian_catastrophe Thomas Malthus was an English aristocrat who was certainly in the top one percent of the top one percent of the population of England for being well informed about the news of what was going on throughout the British Empire. He was obviously attempting I believe to the best of his ability to explain to his fellow aristocrats why they had little choice but to act in a rather "Machiavellian" manner toward the lower class as well as toward the unbelievers in the expanding British Empire. Although I vehemently disagree with his final conclusions..... I do feel that it is important to understand his reasoning process because it was probably partly based on this statement: Luke 23:31 "For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?" If...... during a time of relative peace and prosperity the supposed elite of the Jewish community conspire to put their most feared theological opponents to death..... what would they do if they were in the middle of a Roman siege of Jerusalem when people are starving to death? The same principle applies to our time period as the environment begins to fall apart as the consequences of our greed and lack of real wisdom becomes more and more apparent?
