The article is based on the allegations of someone who by his own admission "I was not invited to that after-hours endeavor, but I heard about it and decided to check it out on a Sunday afternoon," placing anything he says firmly in the realm of pure speculation.

Yes it is, the banks themselves were 'too big to fail' and heavily invested in the real estate craze and the reason they had to be bailed out. Small banks are much more conservative.

I don't know if this is accurate or not as the embassy in Tripoli was abandoned earlier this year. I do know that the US Marines were responsible for the evacuation of the embassy.

Of course it had no real bearing on the events at Benghazi so it's fundamentally irrelevant.

 

Only if assigned to do so. Marines follow the orders given. In this case, the person in charge is the Secretary of State.
