Conservative entrepreneur who specializes in health care and the tech sector, Vivek Ramaswamy announced his candidacy during Fox News Tucker Carlson’s show on Tuesday evening.

“We are in the middle of this national identity crisis, Tucker, where we have celebrated our difference for so long that we forgot all the ways we are really just the same as Americans bound by a common set of ideals that set this nation into motion 250 years ago,” he said.

“That’s why I am proud to say tonight that I am running for United States president to revive those ideals in this country,” Ramaswamy announced on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“I think we need to put ‘merit’ back into ‘America’ in every spirit of our lives,” added Ramaswamy, vowed to end affirmative action in “every sphere of American life.”

Check out what Fox News reported:…

…Ramaswamy, who was dubbed “the C.E.O. of Anti-Woke, Inc.” in New Yorker magazine profile last year, will return to New Hampshire on Wednesday, with multiple stops in Rochester and Manchester.

“This isn’t just a political campaign; this is a cultural movement to create a new dream for the next generation of Americans,” Ramaswamy said in a campaign video.

Ramaswamy said his campaign is “about the unapologetic pursuit of excellence in our country. It means you believe in merit; that you get ahead in this country not on the color of your skin but on the content of your character and your contributions.”…

I like him and his ideas. He’s supporting capitalism and opposing woke cancel culture and ESG.

I think his ideas are interesting. His path for this nation would certainly bring some correction to the failed path we are on today.

A merit-based society works to everyone's advantage in a monocultural society. With but a very few exceptions, we can see it in effect in, say, Japan. Multicultural societies and those that are stratified by such factors as wealth, class and caste, however, present challenges to the concept.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well.

We are multicultural here and have upward mobility here. I think that his ideas are essential to our future economic success. He’s the son of immigrants from India and has realized the American dream and wants it available to all Americans.

I like Vivek, I like him a lot. He speaks passionately while not sounding like a religious preacher the way many politicians seems to act like these days when speaking, there’s no drama in him. The problem he will have will be the bigots on the left who say his name sounds funny.

Got to love a guy who wants to run for president based on rejecting thought, morals and humanity.

Like real conservatives? Not fake, Trumpian MAGA NeoKlan Frothing At The Mounth Ahteful Anit-Trans Bigot Twitter Bot conservative?

John Kasich, hands down. The single best Republican who could run for president. Respected by centrists of both parties, smart, measured, calm, non-racist, thoughtful, accomplished.

No respectable Republican would vote for Biden and that's just what Kasich did.

He will not get 1% of the vote. Sen. Tim Scott and Nikki Haley will get more support than he will. He is quite literally, a nobody in the political realm,.

You have had Republicans vote for Obama in 2008 and you have had Republicans not vote for Trump in 2016 and 2020. However, Marc Racicot, the former RNC Chairperson was told he is no longer a republican all because of his opinion on someone named DJT and his presidency.

I'm just posting in here to bookmark this thread when the OP posts threads bashing Viveck after Trump gives him a new childish moniker during the Republican primaries. LOL

The bigots on the left attack all conservatives who happen to be people of color. He defies their narratives. I love his business as well, Strive. They go for keeping politics out of investing and the corporate shareholders meetings and board meetings with an emphasis on ROI and fiduciary responsibility.

Maybe now but he’s only 37 and a successful son of immigrants to this country also successful. He’s living the American dream. I could see him getting a cabinet position or an appointed executive branch position related to business or finance in a GOP administration

Well I like both Trump and DeSantis, and Tim Scott and won’t pick a side. I’m going to go with Vivek as long as he stays in the race and then support the nominee in the general election.

No, I don't mean that. I mean that he rejects rational thought and basic humanity while embracing abject ignorance and hate, declaring that he and his fans do not accept folks that are different than they are.

He has no voter recognition. He has to spend a lot of money and energy just to get his ideas to be aired and listened to on a grande scale. But at the same time, a book slogan, aka the Great Reset vs the Great Uprising, is not going to get him many votes. He will have to take a stand on key issues from deficits to budget priorities to social issues even the ones he says is not the "great divide."

Fighting woke left cancel culture and ESG in the corporate board room and in investing is a good start.
