Drink tea often, usually Twinings English Breakfast or Irish Breakfast. Actually started making Twining English Breakfast in the Kurig coffee maker and it brews a good cup.
For those who enjoy green tea and are very discerning, Yama Moto Yama tea is one of the best brands, it can also be a little expensive. Their "special occasion" green tea is absolutely perfect as far as anything from a tea bag can be, but with a corresponding price to match. The flavor is strong but subtle, with a very slight silky texture. Great flavor and aroma, tastes like the tea leaves were freshly picked. If you care anything about the subtle flavors of your drinks, once you have tried this tea all the other mainstream brands will taste like crap. Of course, not everyone appreciates green tea. If you like Black tea, you should try the varieties flavored with bergamot if you have never done so. It is very common, especially in middle eastern stores.
Tea - My drug. Best generally available teas on the Market are Tetley's Gold blend and Yorkshire tea. Both make a perfect cuppa. I use milk and sweetener. BTW if you are drinking an imported UK blend you need to check because teas are made up differently according to which part of the UK you are from according to how hard the water is.
Anyone know a good company for organic loose leaf tea? I am thinking Mighty Leaf, because I have read some great reviews. I am looking mainly for a good Earl Grey.
I'm not much of a tea snob and I only drink iced tea. I don't like hot tea. And I don't sweeten it. I think the reason I started drinking tea instead of soda in the first place was because as I got older I lost my sweet tooth. I don't like sweet soft drinks anymore except as mixer. I like just regular Lipton tea. The ingredients label says it is orange pekoe and pekoe cut black tea. To prepare it I don't dip it or let it steep. I just toss a few teabags into the basket of the coffee maker. Quick & simple. Occasionally I'll make green tea, but not very often. I'll go through two 100 bag boxes of the regular tea before I go through one 40 bag box of green tea.
I am into it a lot. I have about 30 sorts of tea - tea from China, India, Ceylon, Japan, Kenya, Turkey, Nepal, Georgia, Vietnam, black, green, oolong, white, yellow, sheng/shu pu er. I prefer unflavoured leaf tea without sugar, but I sometimes drink "classical" flavoured teas, I love earl grey, I also enjoy jasmin tea, osmanthus tea, rose tea, lychee tea, mint tea.
Fresh Darjeeling first flush... in love... only 10 g left (approx. 20 $ / 100 g, so I bought only 20 g)
Tea is such a broad subject. I love tea. I prefer either English breakfast, earl grey, or lady grey. I drink English breakfast with milk and sugar, earl grey with milk, and lady grey with neither. These English black teas are true "tea". Other "tea" like peppermint, or chai, or lemon, all of those I don't really consider tea so much as flavored water, not that that makes them worse, just not what I think of when someone says tea. My favorite brand is twinnings, but sometimes I'll drink tazo. Bigelow will also work, on occasion. Hard to find quality teas of other brands in the western usa.
Tea is my next big adventure since I discovered today that I do not like pink lemonade. I will be doing it southern style, not that nasty unsweetened stuff you folks drink everywhere else.
I am very picky about my teas. I only drink organic loose leaf tea. I will not drink the digusting swill they put in bags and sit on the shelf for years. I also do not consume caffein. Therefore, I usually stick to herbal teas, most of which are caffein free naturally. My favorites are nettle and chamomile tea. Nettle tea is made from the leaves of stinging nettles, and helps regulate blood pressure, and has a number of vitamins and minerals. Chamomile has a calming effect, and is great for winding down in the evening. Some people like to mix peppermint leaves with chamomile for added flavor, but I perfer a touch of organic honey, and a little bit of almond milk.
I love tea. Drink it all the time. Mainly just get the Lipton Tea Bags, fill my glass container with water and the tea bags and set it out in the sun for a couple of hours. Bring it inside, throw the bags away and then put the container in the fridge. I used to love sweet tea, but I've cut out the sugar so much that it doesn't taste good to me anymore.
I love Chai and cinnamon (the real stuff not latte crap) also a spicy orange, will have both with milk... herbal tea tastes horrendous, why on earth would you drink it
I just discovered how good chai tea last year. I like the latte and non latte version. Ginger tea is also really good. Ive tried a few herbal multi packs and most are just plain yuk.
When I was a nipper, I spent many a Summer in a Country where you could pick the tea leaves right off, tiny buds and flowers, fragrant, orange buds, a cup of tea made on a charcoal crumb fire, a most splendid cup of tea. I prefer loose tea and a tea ball, Earl Grey tea !
I really only drink ice tea. I know it's pretty bad, but I love the Lipton ice tea mix. I think it's delicious, especially with a little squirt of lemon juice. It's refreshing and cold and the perfect summer time drink (aside from ice coffee which is my hands down favorite beverage).
Tea is not just a hot beverage. Read about the British tea custom, Brits would tell accounts of being in Battle, in the middle of a withering hail of enemy fire, and still calmly serve tea, as if they were sitting at a restaurant or bistro table in Mayfair. http://www.timetravel-britain.com/articles/taste/tea.shtml
Yes! I am a tea lovers! I have a very stressful job, I am working in an advertising agency and I have to deal with advertising management software . My work is demanding and terribly stressful, so I try to hydrate my body. Top for this is a green tea - my favorite
