Or has that been given up on?

Or maybe there's still a few out there drinking distilled water ...or rainwater...and pure grain alcohol to keep the Commies from sapping and impurifying all their precious bodily fluids???

There are silly folks trying to get a ballot measure here in SF to remove it from the drinking water.

I think the science is behind flouridation- and from purely anectdotal personal experience- I grew up without flouridation, my child grew up with it- the difference is that I had multiple cavities by the time I was 12- my child has none.

Referring to the old 1950s conspiracists (and basis for the "General Ripper" character in "Dr. Strangelove") who thought fluoridation was some "Commie plot".

I guess it's gone the way of the dodo though by now. Just imagine how people will look back on Truthers and Birthers in 50 years.

Sadly it's alive and well in some parts of Australia. Yes, it is a live issue even now. Personally I think it's something in the water....

I spoke to the head of the Osteoporosis society of Ireland about it (I worked for them for a few months), who's mother tested the effects of fluoride in the water. She said the conspiracies are total bunk, and that's good enough for me.
