What is it that you like about her? or is she just OK?

I really would like to know if anyone actually likes her and the reason why.

    Thanks,
    Ed

I have always enjoyed watching her. Call her what you like, everyone has his like and dislikes.

I'm not surprised an ignorant New Yorker is famous for saying 'I don't know anybody for voting for Nixon.'

I am a New Yorker, I could be ignorant, but so far there was just one poster who said he liked Megyn Kelly.
He could not explain why, just liked her.
    And that is fine.

I presume you do not really like her, but feel that you do not like me more.:)

I forget the issue now, but 2-3 months ago she started sounding as though there might be the beginnings of a mind in that pretty little head. I'm not a Fox fan, but she's not as bad as Hannity, for example.

I think she lost that little twinge of thought processing called reason when she had Michael Moore on last night and flirted with him as long as he criticized Trump.
How does it sound for a supposedly conservative 'anchor' to giggle like a little girl as long as Big Bad Liberal Moore sang her tune?

I like her because she is the mouse to Trump's elephant. Trump cannot handle the heat from a pesky reporter, because of this I do not think that he qualified to be president as the bias he will face as president will be ten fold and from much tougher opponents. Think Trump is perhaps not use to being scrutinized to this level as he has likely been surrounded by yes men and women for most of his professional life.

You like her because you do not like Trump.
    I understand that.
She even liked Michael Moore because she did not like Trump.
But do you like her for who she is and why?

Because she asks questions that are on the minds of some Americans. Trump had an opportunity to productively counter her questions but he chose to take the path of character assassination and evasion. Not very presidential to me.

I understand that she asks questions that are on the minds of some Americans.
But are such questions appropriate for a televised debate to be asked by a serious reporter? -
"Mr. Trump, one of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and you don't use a politician's filter. However, that is not without its downsides, in particular, when it comes to women. You've called women you don't like 'fat pigs,' 'dogs,' 'slobs' and 'disgusting animals.' ... Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women's looks. You once told a contestant on 'Celebrity Apprentice' it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees.

... if you think that's OK, no problem.

I'm not gay so yes, I do her.

A question for you Mr. Edial, do you have any friends who aren't gay ? That could be why you haven't met anyone who likes Megan Kelly.

I am sure you would "do" her.
Is there any other reason you like her? ...

I don't really know her that well to say if I like her or not. But her ratings are good so I imagine somebody likes her.

I just can't find them ... outside of the fact that the ones who do want to "do" her ... :truce:

Ah...they are there. Perhaps you aren't worth their time? Have you given us your critique of why we shouldn't like her? I can say honestly I didn't like her question to Trump. It was simply...fluff meant to create some chaos....but I don't know her enough to say "I don't like her".

I've lost some respect for Kelly during the first FNC Republican debate.

But I like her style on Fox. She's smart, intelligent and being a lawyer she knows how to treat someone she's interviewing as a hostile witness when they try to dance around a question.

Even Rachel Maddow has the hots for Megyn.

Megyn Kelly's real name use to be Megyn Kendall.

I remember when Kelly first joined the Fox team back in 2004. At first they would give her about five minutes exposure with her "Kelly's Court." Then she would appear once a week on the O'Reilly Factor and many a times it was like Kelly vs. O'Reilly. Today she has her own gig on the FNC and is #2 in cable news just behind O'Reilly.

Have you ever seen the photo of Megyn when she was a football cheer leader ?

    OK, fair enough. :)

I think she got more arrogant with time.
But yes, I agree with what you say. :)

And no, I did not know she was a cheerleader.

I am not sure I said I don't like her.

She used to be OK. Lawyer, decent questions, OK logic ...
in time, after she had her baby she gained weight and then really started putting herself back to shape ... and then she became more ... how can I put it ... more feminist, more arrogant, more self-centered, a goddess-type ... her original question to Trump was a result of all who she became.
Most of the people remember the 'old' Kelly ... but she changed.

    Thanks, :)
    Ed

Yes. Trump could have handled the situation in any number if ways. How he handled it is very telling of his character. What it told me is that he defaults to character assassinations when he feels disrespected. Women are roughly 50% of the voters thus his treatment and views towards women is germane to the election thus the question was fair.

I didn't notice any 'flirting'. Some unexpected hospitality from a con to a lib maybe. I'm a Moore lib and even I wouldn't expect Kelly to be flirting with Moore.

Moore, as a film producer, made some very valid points in his films.
I don't like his personality, but I respect some of the points he has made in his movies
Yet he is persona non grata in FOX circles especially when it is a friendly context.

He was flattering Kelly and she was delighted and joking and taking it in and laughing and yes, flirting.
Her love for herself is so overpowering she could not control herself.

The only way I would throw her out of bed would be to do her on the floor...otherwise she holds no intellectual attraction...she comes off like a robot.

To say that women are 50% meaning that women are insulted is not an accurate statement.
MANY women strongly dislike the type of women Trump spoke disrespectfully of.
Maybe these types are indeed bimbos.
Trump has MANY women working for him at the executive positions. His children adore him and even his ex-wives support him.
Trump respects women, otherwise his company would not be known for having a largest mix of smart women in the top positions.

Indeed, thus it is a good thing that I never made the above claim. What I said is that roughly 50% of women are are voters, or at least eligible to vote. Because of this the question Kelly asked was fair. This does not mean that all women are in some way offended by his past treatment of women, but some are. The way to win an election is to face the tough questions, dispel bias and misinformation and accentuate your positives. Trump had a chance to do just that but choose to IMO prove Kelly right by making the bimbo and bleeding comment.

Calling a woman a bimbo shows that Trump does not respect women who he perceives as slighting him. A president needs to be diplomatic and choose their words wisely. When I see Trump launch character assassinations against those he dislikes here in America, it makes me fearful of how he will treat foreign dignitaries who make Kelly look like a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)cat in comparison. Trump is a hothead which is not a good trait for a world leader.
