lol, if you haven't seen this movie, you've been missing out! I recently got the chance to, and let me say that Cabin in the Woods is the best (not to mention funniest) horror movie of the last DECADE! I don't normally enjoy modern horror movies, but this one I liked. Make no mistake, it's not greatly artistic or anything, just a poignant and entertaining statement about the state of the horror genre. It's one of those genre-busters, you know? Like Not Another Teen Movie. The plot description here I think will make clear that this is a funny movie.
I liked it. I thought they explained what was really going on about half an hour too soon, and even at 90 minutes it still felt kind of long. But that third act goes a few places I've never seen a movie go before. My jaw was kind of dropping for about 15 minutes. I have more to say than this meager nonsense but, as you know, the less I spoil the better it will be for anyone who decides to check it out. Which I think people should do. Did you see Attack the Block? Came out last year. I thought it was even more enjoyable than Cabin. I highly recommend it.
