No one is going to build any Temple anywhere, not in the foreseen future that's for sure. execpt the obvious political turmoil it will cause, Judaism needs to re-define itself first and that will take more than a 100 years at least.

I asked once an Orthodox friend of mine what will it take to rebuild the Temple, he said execpt for the Messiah to come we need all kinds of materials to bless the desicrated Holy of Holies which no one knows what they are because the Bible doesnt elaborate enough for us to understand (Mur for example), so you can see it will not happen in our life time..

There has been some remarkable archaeological evidence coming to light lately implying the same thing. It's quite possible that if this is proven true, that the Third Temple project would start a lot sooner than anyone thought.
