I just checked out CNN.com and the headline there is some gay athlete coming out, and way under that story is suburban teens getting hooked on smack... WTF???? Seriously? Is some dude coming out more important than a drug epidemic in our country? I have never taken the smack issue very seriously, losers that want to inject themselves with drugs get what they deserve, but evidently that stuff is everywhere now, yet its now a secondary story. Even my parents in a small town have said that heroin stuff is infecting their town, so I believe this threat is becoming real. Yet a major news outlet decides that some dude coming out as gay gets top billing??? Wow... You know the saying: Well, apply that to the mainstream media being so much 'off the rails' that it acts as an arm of the Obama administration, a liberal mainstream media which utterly failed to do its usual and customary job of aggressively, zealously, vetting Obama before he won in 2008 and you will see that there are few who can get riled up about the dumbness you cite. When they failed to do their duty in 2008 it has been a steady downhill slope they've been on. Yet where were you when we were yelling and screaming about the loss of journalistic integrity? When did you say anything about the media which has been failing SOME of us for these many years now? Well, don't be surprised that few will get very excited at your example of journalistic lapses in judgment or the dumbing down of America.

Well, the media reports the news that gets the most ratings, or sells the most newspapers, or gets the most hits on a website, etc. Nowadays in this country, for some reason, being gay is the new hot topic. Gay is the new black. It's a bunch of leftists looking for the next big cause to wrap themselves around and scream "oppression" at the top of their lungs and finding the next scapegoat to lynch. It's silly and its ignorant, because they do this without a single written law that recognizes gaydom as a civil right at the federal level, but they are quick to condemn as a bigot anyone who dares to disagree with the lynch mob. Meanwhile, smack addicts get put on Page 2. Unless you're a mediocre yet overhyped actor who is found dead with a smack needle in his arm, and who is praised by liberals everywhere for his supporting actor work, his drug addict lifestyle romanticized, yet people dismiss as trivial the cold fact that he left behind three kids in favor of his addiction. Yes, the liberal media sucks balls...actually if it is a man doing the sucking, the liberal media seems to condone that sick lifestyle now.
Well this is a fine pickle. The government has been sending black and brown people to prison for using drugs. Now since so many whites are using drugs willy-nilly the government has legalized marijuana use in a couple of States and is thinking about decrimalizing in places like Texas. The actor Hoffman overdoses so now they will push to allow heroin use (it was legal at one time) so that millions of whites won't end up in prison for using it.
Yup, you got it right, dude....... an athlete announcing he's gay is the important headliner nowadays and more teenagers becoming drug addicts is just a passing tho't...... no biggie. Disgusting, isn't it?

Our National News Media is a propaganda arm for the "Progressive Agenda". Consider this... How many of you know that Hillary Clinton was a young lawyer assigned by the Democrats to the Watergate Investigation (Richard Nixon)? How many know that she was fired off that job for being "unethical" and a liar? How many know that her Democratic Party boss REFUSED to give her a letter of recommendation for any further employment anywhere and offered a stinging rebuke of Hillary Clinton? Yet we get to hear all about gay athletes, Beiber, a bridge lane closure in NJ, and all about Michelle Obama's 50th Birthday Party.
I'm not sure how old you are, but cocaine used to be a "whites only" drug well before crack was mainstream.

So was marijuana at one time; that whole "Reefer Madness" thing. A white crisis, of sorts. Actually, when it comes to drugs in general, it tends to start off as a white problem until the minorities get a hold of the stuff, then the crime rate goes up, and then the problem is blamed on the minorities.
I don't care. As long as everyone involved is a consenting adult, it matters not to me what people do in their bedroom. And, I don't care if they want to share it. Myself and my wife are swingers. I am straight, my wife is bi. We have lots of sex with other people, sometimes without even knowing their names. If it distrubs you that I am comfortable sharing that, tough (*)(*)(*)(*). Honestly, I don't even know what "smack" is, but it doesn't matter. A free human has the absolute right to put whatever substance into their body that they choose to do. Now, when we're talking about kids, the reality is we have to draw a line in the sand. Some 14 year olds are mature enough to make their own decisions. Some 20 year olds are not. We've arbitrarily drawn that line at 18, because it appears it is the best compromise in a situation where making case by case decisions is not practical.
Yeah, and then they sent blacks to prison while letting whites off with slaps on the wrist for using the same drug. So much for equal justice.

And these teenagers addicted to drugs have stupidly put themselves on the road to hell and very possibly death.... and it's getting worse.
And had it been anything else there would be no problem. But because its an athlete coming out of the closet the right wing calls it a scandal. Get over it and move on.

The genocide against Kurds, Christians etc. at the hands of AQ, who have a new safe-haven stronghold there, has been going on a while, but the news don't care, which reflects the same as Obama who also doesn't care, and won't target AQ in Syria or even wag a finger in their general direction. Many more slaughtered than 8/21 gas attack. After that gas attack, the media sure as hell let you know, showing you the gruesome pictures over and over and over and over and over again, as Obama couldn't shut up about it, and those pictures, and he wanted to attack Assad. The news agenda and Obama agenda were aligned perfectly. One day, an ancient Christian village was taken over, and women and children and nuns were butchered in the streets. I watched the six o'clock news to see their take on it.. No mention of it. But towards the last few minutes, I figured they have to announce it now, but no. Then it went to their little non-story they usually do. You know things like, "The town statue got a makeover after a kid put a hat on it" or "coming up after the break, we'll meat the man who has been building model rockets for the last 27 years" etc.
CNN isn't FOX. CNN doesn't dwell on faux moral panics with disproportionate concern and hostility. If an issue involves youth and drugs, FOX will be all over it. CNN isn't quite as sensationalistic about trumped-up issues that may not even exist.
Are we dumb as a nation? Absolutely. We condemn smoking cigarettes but no longer think drugs are bad. We put Party ahead of country and free speech means you can put out as much trash on television, radio, music and video games as you like. We will stop a student from thanking God for helping her/him graduate from school, but allow a rap singer to rap about killing cops and raping his mother. We glorify living together when not married and wonder why we have so many kids born without fathers. For those kids that have parents we have forbid them to spank them when they do wrong. We have millions of Americans without jobs, but think nothing of making millions more living here illegally, citizens so they can compete for jobs with those Americans who have none. We press for more clean air, but think nothing of dirtying up our mind. We praise our Constitution, but constantly misinterpret it, or want to change it. We allow our leaders to make us promises and then refuse to hold them to it. We no longer consider lying to be bad, but a natural part of doing politics. We demand you prove your a citizen to get on a plane, or check out a book at the library, but not to vote. We take away a kids lunch of a turkey and cheese sandwich which we don't think is nutritious enough and give them fried chicken nuggets instead. We charge a boy with sexual harassment for kissing his girlfriend's hand, or inadvertently touching her wrong when chasing her down playing tag. We suspend kids for drawing a gun on a piece of paper or wearing a USA tee shirt on a Mexican Holiday. We try and make laws on how big a soda you can buy, but not how dirt a CD you can buy. We say a woman has the right to her own body, but the baby inside her ready to be born because the woman took no protection, has no right to live at all. Why is it your a bigot if you don't believe in unnatural sex with same sex couples, but your breaking the law for paying for sex with the opposite sex, which people have been doing for thousands of years and is the natural thing to do? Why do we allow our government to give our jobs away with unfair trade agreements and then agree with them that there are no more good paying jobs and expect them to create them? Why do we put all our faith in government to do the right thing when they put us in the mess we're in? Are we dumb as a nation and as a people? You bet we are. So dumb we can't see how dumb we really are.
Our news media has turned into a cross between stand up comedy and celebrity social events. News is not important. THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW. This is the same MO that destroyed our education system.
