Without exception, we all have sweet. sweet delusions. Some think they are smarter than they really are, some think they are better looking, some thing they are uglier than they really are, and some even think that they have the right and the authority to claim that somebody that they have never even met, is mentally incapable. pffffft... is not! You must be delusional! ~~~~~~~~~~ I believe everyone can be a bit delusional, perhaps it's even mentally healthy. But does it rise to the level of clinical delusional disorder... that is the real question.
It depends on the evidence, doesn't it. I have seen evidence of delusion for a lot of people I never met. If you see a guy wearing a tinfoil hat you sort of get a clue even if you don't actually meet him. When people express their delusions, in act or words, you don't actually have to meet them to know they're delusional.
