General Kelly appears to be a more rational person who may be a steadying presence in the Trump White House.
Kelly is going to replace everyone that doesn't fall in line. Nothing comes in or goes out without his approval. The old guard around Trump thought that didn't apply to them and they have been or are being replaced. I expect Ivanka and Kushner to be gone either right as the midterm season starts or right after the elections.

I was watching Lou Dobbs (some other guy was filling in) and he suggested it might be a good idea for General Kelly to intervene when "Trump goes of the rails," in reference to his comments condemning violence on both sides. Yes, Fox News. Having spent years working alongside successful business people, I believe Trump thrives in a climate of controlled chaos. Very little happens around him that isnt in his plan. Its just sometimes advantageous to make it look otherwise.

I am glad to see him go. Now Trump can actually be the Big City Liberal Republican he actually is without having to cater directly to the national faction of small-town bigot, racist, religious political mafia which Steve Bannon clearly represents. Bannon was fine with me until I realized he was merely a mouthpiece bought and paid for by the religious right. He supports factions of the right that are bad for the economy and progression. If he had stuck with his economic populism he'd have been fine but he made the choice, which cost him, to align with the religious racist smalltown bigot faction and that's where I withdrew support as did many others I think.
Well, I guess every dictator in training needs an official state sanctioned news agency - Bannon should provide him with that.
