Within schools it's an insidious government plot. But within companies and entertainment it is tolerated because it's not costing anybody anything right now. BTW, our weakest schools are in lower- and middle-income neighborhoods. If your kid go to schools in higher-income neighborhood, their schools are some of the best in the world.

It's being used in Wa Sate & Oregon. Hard to know how many districts overall are peddling this drivel; we already know that district after district nationwide have lied about CRT content in their curricula - saying 'we don't do that' when in fact they do. It's been encouraging in the wake of Youngkin & Desantis to see school districts & state legislatures banning CRT bullshit altogether. But only in red jurisdictions, obviously.

Student centered funding - i.e., the money follows the student. Whether they're educated at school (public or private) or home. When parents yank their kid out of School A, the money follows the kid to wherever he's enrolled next. Whether it's School B, a private school, charter school or home school.

In most states, education accounts for roughly half the entire budget. Once parents pull their kids from failing schools and take those dollars with them, that'll be impetuous for real reform.

 

No one is imposing anything on anyone except for atheists imposing their hatred of another person's beliefs...which really don't have any effect on anyone.

Teachers unions have made it their mission to teach hatred of America with CRT and teach cultist sexual confusion with transgender silliness WHILE EXCLUDING PARENTS FROM THE CONVERSATION. I am with you about teachers being underpaid. All the money being thrown at schools finds its way to the union and political contributions. About 20 years ago I was recruited by the San Diego school system. They were awash in music, art, English and other "fluffy" degrees but had no one to teach math or science. I had no teaching credits but I did have a BSEE. I taught high school Physics for two years. Because so many students had failed mathematics, standards were lowered outrageously. Essentially, I had to teach Physics without mathematics. It was all demonstration. It was very sad. You're right about pay. I went back to industry because of the low pay.
