At least 9 dead in a mass shooting in Monterey Park, California

Okay, but as I said in my post, there are some teachers who are multi-talented, can do the above and also be well trained to take a shot before the police arrive on the scene. I find nothing wrong with the states who already allow teachers and staff concealed carry at their schools. Notice I said staff. Capable staff can also stop a shooter before it becomes a mass shooting. Adding one more thing here, when a shooter chooses a place to conduct a mass shooting, they choose soft targets; schools, churches, (gun free zones) Schools who allow armed personnel might even thwart a mass shooting as they would no longer be considered a soft target zone by a mass shooter.

Teachers should NOT carry the responsibility of "security guard". Their job is challenging enough as it is.
If schools now need full time security guards because of the number of weapons floating around in irresponsible hands.( kids and parents )........then add them.

How tragic that no place is now "safe" in this country........and the answer is NOT MORE guns.......... as if there are not enough already. There are more guns thatn people now...........so in "theory" the country should be very "safe"..........

Early detection of behavior problems is the smarter path . Good access to mental health care........and counseling. ........with sustained professional follow up programs.

 

the more good guys with guns, the better for everyone. The odds of being in a mass shooting are 1-111,000+ in a life time, the safety drama llama has left the building.

 

Letting the teachers carry guns in the class simply involves allowing those teachers who already carry everywhere else to carry at school.

NO body wants to force a teacher to have a fun of they don't want one.
