Avenatti arrested by IRS agents during California Bar Association hearing

LOS ANGELES – Attorney Michael Avenatti was arrested by Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agents Tuesday evening during a break in a disciplinary hearing in Los Angeles over allegations that the high-profile lawyer scammed a client out of $840,000.

The arrest occurred around 6 p.m. outside the State Bar Court, where the State Bar of California has initiated proceedings against him.

“I can confirm that he was arrested by federal agents," Avenatti's lawyer Dean Steward said. "I anticipate a bail hearing at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Magistrate's Court in Santa Ana. I haven't seen the details of the warrant, but should have it later this evening.“

the reality is, individual one would of been indicted if not President, Trump's lawyer is in Prison over it

now why they concealed Trump's investigation and blabbed about Hillary's - that is an interesting question considering Comey was a republican

I see CNN left out a lot of Avanatti's history. The other stories I saw on this go into more detail regarding his past.

No. That doesn’t happen.

However, people do notice when individuals with direct connections to Trump - from his administration, his campaign, personal attorneys, close friends and advisers - are convicted of / plead guilty to federal felonies. Especially when their guilty pleas implicate Trump directly in also having committed felonies.

 

He’s not been convicted yet. Do you want people to lose their career over allegations by the govt before they are proven?
Disclaimer: I’m not saying he’s innocent. I’m asking why you want someone to lose their career based on as of yet unproven allegations.

 

Well, it seems to be all the rage lately. "OMG, this woman is credible! #Metoo" Or "OMG, he must've said a RACIST thing." What's good for the goose, is good for the gander. And the reputation of lawyers for the bar are important. A case in point is that this dude was still stealing money from his client 'representing her' while he's criminally liable!

So if there's any just place for character assassination, it would be the bar where the character of a lawyer(and the character of their degree) is important.

Damn, only a year ago CNN, MSNBC, the rest of the liberal left media and especially Anna Navarro of the View was praising and comparing Avenatti to the likes of Jesus Christ.
