Babylon Bee defiant after Twitter locks account over tweet naming Rachel Levine 'Man of the Year'

    The Christian satire site The Babylon Bee is refusing to back down after Twitterlocked its account over a tweet naming U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Rachel Levine the satire site's "Man of the Year" for 2022.

    "I just received this notice that we’ve been locked out of our account for ‘hateful conduct,’" Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon wrote on Twitter, sharing a screenshot of the social media platform's notice that the Bee's account had been suspended.

    "Hi The Babylon Bee, Your account, @TheBabylonBee has been locked for violating the Twitter Rules," the message reads.

    In suspending the Bee's account, Twitter cited its rules against "hateful conduct," which state, "You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease."


    The tweet in question consists of a graphic with a picture of Levine and the text "The Babylon Bee Man of the Year," along with a Babylon Bee headline, "The Babylon Bee's Man of the Year Is Rachel Levine."

    The satire site published a satirical articledubbing Levine "Man of the Year" on March 15….

    T    his is just ridiculous. Yet another example of progressive left content control and censorship. To classify humor and satire as hate in order to silence a point of view is typical of big tech social media and their fascist fact checkers.

    Man it's certainly gone from "accepting gays" to "accepting fringe pedos and loonies with mental illnesses" and these freakshows are influencing children. Much like people warned would happen. Within 10 years you will see liberals add a pedo letter to the LGBTQ

    I’m glad that the Babylon Bee is going all in on the resistance and is totally defiant here. This is what conservatives must do to sites that use fact checkers for content control and censorship. There are new conservatives alternatives out there and unless a site accept us on our terms we can go elsewhere. Twitter sucks!

    Twitter just suspended the account of Virginia Tech swimmer Reka Gyorgy, image Left.

    Her crime was stating that Lia Thomas (Right) stole her place in the competition not allowing her to compete.

    I don't know why anyone outside of celebrities and political figures uses Twitter at all. Even those categories ought to rethink the use.

    One would expect people posting at a Political Forum to have grasp of the fundamentals of 2nd Grade Civics.

    She should sue the NCAA and the guy who claims he’s a woman. He needs to scientifically prove in court he’s a woman and it’s not about feelings.

    The young woman from Virginia Tech who was bumped from the finals by the man wrote a tweet documenting what happened to her and Twitter shut her down.
