They must have left the heads for the kiddies to use for football(soccer).

Very kind of the Mexican entrepreneurs to think of the children.

OMG, how horrible! I was talking to a co-worker today about traveling in Mexico and she said her brother just got back from a trip to PV and had a wonderful time. I told her it goes one of two ways these days... you have a great time, or you get beheaded!!

With the whole wide world to choose from, why would ANYBODY go to Mexico today?

the UN needs a list, sort of like the FBI/CIA most wanted list, except it there on the wall in the UN for everyone to see, and its a list of the 50 most evil twisted filth still evading capture.
With a caption at the bottom reading "the equivalent of 50 million dollars in gold/silver or any currency demanded will be rewarded to the individual who brings in dead or alive any of above listed people".

This is how the cartels intimidate the people they've done this for a long time and become proficient at it. Now how can this be dealt with? It won't happen fast because the cartels are too large and entrenched. I think Mexico would be best off if they simply focused on strengthening their working class with more and better jobs and focused on keeping kids pre-occupied with education or actual work. I doubt the Mexican authorities could deal with this by force so their alternative is to give the people in the drug trade a viable alternative to make a lively hood.

It wouldn't! If we legalized marijuana in the USA it would put the Mexican drug cartels out of business in less than three months. They still might go on killing each other but there wouldn't be any profit motive in doing it. :-D

Now that's a great news story, FOX and all the other bogus news organzations can't touch the Mexicans when it comes to exciting news.

Up your game USA news, you all don't have the excitement and sensationalism that Mexcio and other South American countries have. I find myself watching more Mexican TV for news because they have more real stuff like this, and less political spin and pharmasutical comercials. Also, Mexican TV news does't have the lame reports of kidnaped wives and kids. Mexican TV shows the victims they recover. Hence much better than that lame old USA broadcast media BS.

It won't help them, just hurt others. Kidnapping for ransom happens often, take away the drug trade and they will simply cross the border and kidnap Americans for ransom.

Your odds of running into cartel crime in Puerto Vallerta are probably lower than your chances of getting mugged at home, Smarty Mouth. So lock your doors and stay in the house and keep a gun trained on any delivery guys.
