5/10/2011 14:24 Masoud Barzani asked the Kurds in Turkey and Iran in order to reach their rights , they should seek them through peaceful means. Today in an interview with Al Arabiya Tv he announced "Kurds in KRG support Kurds in Syria in various ways" he also criticized the Syrian opposition who have not confessed on Kurdish rights in Syria as yet. he continued saying "the possible outcomes from Syria is an internal issue and they are only related to Syrians". when asked about the US withdrawal from iraq Barzani said "its possible a civil war might break out in iraq but Kurds will not participate in such conflicts" . he then disclosed "if Kurds in KRG ask their leadership for an independent state in a referendum , we will respect and achieve their demands and decision for statehood" . when asked if there was possible reactions to declaring a state he said "if a referendum wins majority of votes for an independence state for our people , we are ready to declare and defend it , we will pay the price even if it means war declared on us" .
