In a city where women used to walk the streets at all times of day without fear, the government feels compelled to create 'safe zones'. This is in reaction to the more than 500 sexual assaults in Cologne on New Years Eve previously. Most of these attacks were perpetrated by refugees/migrants admitted to Germany under Merkel's policies: https://voiceofeurope.com/2017/12/g...on-zone-for-women-during-new-years-eve-party/ Do you think that the German people should reject Merkel and her 'open borders' policies that are making the country unsafe for its native population?
I honestly think our yank friends should learn how to read, and once they've mastered that, they should apply critical reading. http://www.politicalforum.com/index...lin-to-have-safe-zone-for-women.522393/page-4 http://www.politicalforum.com/index...or-women-amid-sexual-assault-concerns.522511/ A perfect example of how a topic is misinterpreted and then the discussion (not only on this fourm but even the discussion in Germany itself) goes completely wrong. The bbc made false claims and the Washington Post doesn't want to be left behind it seems. Now we have what's called 'voiceofeurope'. OMG. What this is about is an extra tent (to be more precise, it's an area inside a tent) set up by the DRK (German Red Cross), which they have been doing since 2003 during the Oktoberfest in Munich. This tent (Unfallhilfsstelle), called "Women's Safety Area", is a place to go for women who have experienced molestation of any kind. People can get psychological help, can complain to the police, there'll be translators because, as every year, thousands and thousands of tourists from other countries are expected, etc. There is no "women only" party area, which is pretty much the nonsense claimed by the bbc as well as the WP. They should try a lot harder next time. Even the chairwoman of the Junge Union, the youth organisation of the conservative CDU, didn't get it right. For those with German language skills. https://www.focus.de/panorama/welt/...cherheitszone-fuer-frauen-ein_id_8150764.html http://www.bento.de/today/sicherhei...rty-in-berlin-darum-geht-es-wirklich-1980350/
Yep, as you noted, that bastion of right-wing journalism, the Washington Post, also agrees with my assessment of the situation. Perhaps you should work on your English reading comprehension skills: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wa...-zone-for-women-amid-sexual-assault-concerns/
Unlike you (correct me if I'm wrong), I'm fluent in German and live in Germany. I don't have to rely on translations and secondary sources. What the WP, the bbc and voiceofeurope claim is simply false.
I suppose that it is 'simply false' that over 500 German women were sexuallly molested/assaulted in Cologne on New Years Eve 2015.........and that the vast majority of the assailants were 'immigrants'..........I can only assume that you support Merkel's open borders policies.
Please, dear stonewall, stay on topic. I didn't mention Cologne NYE '15/16 in any way and the simple fact that I tell you what WP, bbc, and voe claim is wrong means I support Merkel(?). I find that very off topic and not convincing at all. I've never voted for her and never will. This is about those articles and the claims they made. They are wrong, simple as that. Check the German speaking sources (if they can be of any help). I already explained in my first post what this "safety area" is about. Btw, the borders have been closed pretty much since early 2016.
Apparently the 'safe zones' for women were not a great success: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/0...-in-berlin-despite-safety-area-for-women.html
I've already explained what this so-called "safety zone" (singular, the plural is wrong, there were no "zones") is and it has very, very little to do with what fox, the bbc, or voiceofeurope tell you; of course, you're free to use whatever source you like but when fox and voe are your go-to sources, you shouldn't expect to be informed even half-way accurately. An article about the tent I mentioned (the so-called "safety area"). http://www.spiegel.de/panorama/just...sicherheitszone-auf-partymeile-a-1185775.html Four women used it on NYE. Cologne reports nine cases of sexual molestation, Bremen two cases, Hanover one case, Munich zero. Berlin between ten and thirteen (depending on the source). Berlin alone has almost two million tourists flocking into the city for NYE every year and authorities were pleased with the way the mega event turned out.. https://www.focus.de/politik/deutsc...zu-silvester-in-grossstaedten_id_8180642.html I'm not sure what you're trying to say when there are 880 cases of sexual assault or rape in the US every day. https://www.rainn.org/statistics/victims-sexual-violence A report about Berlin and how security measures worked. Forget voe and fox. https://www.welt.de/vermischtes/art...ner-angetanzt-und-die-Polizei-kam-sofort.html Google translate can be of help (and is definitely better than voe or fox).
Despite all of your nonsense, I'm pretty sure that even you know that something has to happen, or your country is going to become islamic in short order, which means your country is dead. Sorry boss, but there's nothing that can be done now. Europe is burnt toast. You can't change it now, even if you wanted to.
