I agree on Beretta. I have a Beretta 96D and like it a lot. Its a 40S&W version of the 92 9mm used in the military.
I prefer an autoloader too, but that Beretta is is pricey. You can buy two Mossberg 930's with change left over for a handgun for the price of a Beretta1301. I bought my Mossberg 930 the year that the NRA chose it as the "Shotgun of the Year" for $499. I understand they cost a little more now. I like to use what the military uses and every shotgun I saw in Iraq was a Mossberg. That's good enough for me. I keep one handy, but I load it with a hybrid of #2 and #4 shot. OO is great but I don't need to blow huge holes in my bedroom wall, just in bad guys.

My favorite pump is a Benelli Nova. I only have a Winchester auto. But that Nova I can shoot all day long.

I bought that Nova about 10 years ago brand new it was $360.00 anything equal with a mossy

I looked it up on the bass pro website and they are going for $400.00

    https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/benelli-nova-pump-action-shotgun

If you really want one they are that far out of reach. The autos are pricy but a standard pump. Beretta is more expensive.

No... but I have Ruger40c and like it a lot.
My next gun will be a Kel Tec P50. The Secret Service uses them now.

My Benelli Supernova cost 454.60 out the door, about 12 years ago or so. It can eat any size shell all the way to 3.5". It'll make a fine trunk gun for a Porsche. :)

I've been told that autoloading shotguns have excessive recoil, which can make them problematic for smaller people; OTOH that may have been worked out, or is only the case with specific models. I know nothing of guns and don't pretend to but I have heard this.

Isn't there a vertical holding dash rack you can buy? It won't do you much good in the trunk, (unless you've been put in there with it of course.)

That my good man is incorrect, the guns that have the most recall would be something like a double barrel shotgun or anything with a fixed breach.

Your auto loaders use some of that recoil to operate three actions at one time... It's simultaneously ejects the empty cartridge, cocks the firing pin and it's spring, and loads a new cartridge.

Something like a double barrel or any rifle that has a break barrel that you load from the breach end, nothing is moving there so all of the recoils going backwards into your shoulder.

Same with a revolver. The cartridge is fixed and that's where it stays until you unload it.

I prefer a Mossberg 500 over the 870, mainly because I saw the Army using the Mossberg in Iraq. That's a recommendation that's hard to beat. I also recommend a hybrid shell. I use a mix of double 00 and 4 shot. Pure )) may add a new room to your house.
As for a handgun, I am no fan of Glock. Glock utilizes an "unsupported chamber" architecture which can leave the brass deformed and unable to be reloaded. I reload to save a few dollars. I am also not a fan of the 9mm. When the military moved to 9mm to accommodate the influx of women int the service (M1911 45 was considered to big and heavy), the FBI found tat the 9mm had inadequate stopping power, so they came up with a new round, now known as the 40S&W. I prefer 40S&W and recommend the Beretta 96D as the launcher.

Just bought a Romeo5 red dot for the 1301. Picked up a Ferro Concept sling for it as well.

Only thing left to get is a light and it'll be complete. As for the price, I hear y'all but it's a "buy once, cry once" kind of thing for me.

I used to have a sticker on our front door they had a picture of a silhouette Target and it said that nothing inside is worth dying for.

Now I need to make one for my bike that says I love my bike a lot more than I love you please leave it alone.

Speaking of bikes, now I want a real one I'm seriously considering a brand new Yamaha tw200.
