https://dailycaller.com/2024/01/31/biden-admin-elite-enclaves-low-income-charger-subsidies/ In Engrish, what this is saying is the Biden Administration is taking your tax money and spending it on his wealthy blue-blood supporters. Even if Biden is doing it for the legitimate government reason of subsidizing his wealthy virtue signalers to goad them into buying subsidized EV's, you might ask yourself: "If this is the beginning of the end of personal transportation as you know it, where is your charger?"
I think it’s basically saying they’re low income relative to their neighbors who are rich. Definitely an imperfect way to define low income.
The program is aimed at low income and also at non urban areas. As I read the OP, it is possible to qualify either way. So could be low income or non urban. As I read it.
All the article is saying is that the wealthy are taking advantage of a piece of legislation. Pointing it out. Like the people on Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard need the money. It's also pointing out the absurdity of Xiden's "Environmental Justice" nonsense. All you people ever do is sieze on a minor point and beat it death. There is a bigger point to be made here, whether people in wealthy areas or Non-Urban areas are supposed to be helped by the bill. Bottom line -- It's just 'Pork'. Unnecessary pork that is much more easily taken advantage of by the Wealthy and, not-so-much by the Working Man and Woman. like you care
The article was derived from a DoE map that showed large low density areas across New England, including Martha’s Vinyard. If you think Martha’s Vinyard is high density, you’ve never been there. As for poverty, the chart makes no such distinction. It was a cheap hit job. Daily Baller based the fact that Martha’s Vinyard is eligible for home charger subsidies because it was rural, not because it was poor. But it deliberately slanted the headline to appeal to your partisanship. Which you made very plain by insinuating that Joe Biden made the decisions. It was designed to pull trumpster’s chains. Which, as you demonstrated, it did.
The whole EV thing is destined to failure until a great many issues are solved. The electric grid will have to beefed up to power them. Note that California asked EV owners to charge on off hours The number charging stations will have increased tremendously. The charging time for EVs will need to be lowered. Figuring out to space out charging stations in densely populated areas is a problem. EV range will have to increase significantly. Maintenance costs will have to go down. Few people know it until they own one, but EVs require a new set of tires over less than 10,000 miles because of their added weight and the they brake. The used car market, which is important to lower income people, will be badly affected. Once the battery goes on an EV, you pretty much have to recycle. Lithium battery disposal is an environmental issue. The Communist Chinese have charge of much of the lithium production.
The more the left do this crap, the more social injustice there is because it will get to the point that only the rich will be able to afford cars while the poor and the middle class will have to use public transportation or buy bikes. Funny how the left don't seem to give a darn about social injustice anymore.
Riiiight... They just accidentally and blindly dropped a billion or so of infrastructure cash in the needy laps of their biggest political benefactors. All of whom will presumably send Jeeves out to pick up their new subsidized EV limo. Lucky them. Jeeves gets to stand around in the rain chit chatting for a couple hours wondering "Isn't this damn thing done charging yet? I'm almost out of cigarettes!" Nothing to see here. It is not real money. It just taxpayer money. It is the only thing besides oil we have a bottomless pit of.
That pretty much sums up America Relevant World's top-5 richest increased their wealth 114% since 2020
They are being classified under IRS 45E (e) (e)Low-income community For purposes of this section— Of course the question is why these subsidies AT ALL. Why is the taxpayer having to fund the purchase of these vehicles AT ALL. Why is the government forcing the companies to build them and when will the taxpayer be bailing them out for the losses is spite of the subsidies?
I’m having a great last few years with both of my businesses, one has passed my wildest expectations in the last two alone. Planning on purchasing my third investment property this year which will close to double my income. Thanks for your concern though Care to discuss the topic if you are done discussing me?
