Biden administration raises cost for oil and gas drilling on public lands for first time in decades

Are you folks ready for higher oil and gas prices?

Biden's defenders have said he had no impact on the price of gas going up (except when it went down he took all the credit). Now, directly due to his policies, gas prices will go up.

I'm surprised Biden's handlers let him raise the cost of energy during an election year, especially knowing Trump is going to hammer him over this and use it against him in the debates - if Biden shows up.

 

Get your orders in for EV's right away, folks, because at the rate Biden's going we'll see $5/gallon gasoline before the end of the year. Well, that's all part of the Democrat agenda, right?

 

Why should these fees stay stagnant when everything else has gone up? Personally I think it should be indexed at the average cost of gas — these are out natural resources that they have been price gouging on

If they want lower prices and subsidies then they need to make sure Americans cost at the pump is low.

America is currently the number one producer of oil in the world — why do we pay so much more than other large producers?

What do we pay compared to other large producers?

 

Increased fuel prices is great news for all. Much like the exec orders issued Jan 2021 which sent shockwaves into the fossil fuel sector and all costs thus rose, this will have a similar effect. This means that folks will now spend more time at home with friends and family rather than dining out, going on trips etc.
The Democrat party knows what is best for all of us and we should be sure and reward them in November.

 

And I keep asking what has Biden done to INCREASE our domestic drilling and refining....

Permits
Taxes from the oil rig to the gas pump
Special blends (California)
Legal costs fighting environmentalists
Legal costs fighting the government
Union wages
Environmental studies
Transportation costs which have most of the above

 

That idiot isn't refilling our strategic oil reserve because oil prices are too high and now he's raising the price again.

 

I never said he did anything to do so — directly.

He does seem to have brought some stability in some sectors because he isn’t trying to manipulate the stock market.

You know what asking the same question and expecting a different answer is typically a symptom of?

 

Yet oil companies still made $85,000,000,000.00 in profits last year. Even after all of that.

It’s strange how y’all always blame the government but never companies

 

And those profits go to the stockholders.

The EO didn't affect a damn thing. There weren't any "shock waves" and if costs DID go up, they had nothing to do with it.

You realize it's only going to end up gouging the consumer right? All part of the plan to try to force everyone into overpriced electric vehicles or ultimately make it so only the moderately rich people can actually afford to drive anywhere.

They're oil companies, of course they will price gouge consumers.
Maybe the plan is to get people to use mass transportation.

 

Should we just give them our oil and maybe some money too? Then will they sell it for less? Maybe throw in back rubs?

 

Maybe if we don’t make them pay any taxes, no more labor laws and we all work for free, the godly corporations will finally take pity on us!

 

Free handouts for illegals while making Americans pay more. That sounds about right for Joe 'Diminished Capacity" Biden.

 

Illegals get their gas for free? You wanna pay less for our gas then we should nationalize it. Otherwise the global market sets the price.

 

I will gladly pay more for gas if Biden gave me free food, free housing, a free phone and free healthcare.

 

Get poor and you can get all that and more. I’ve know poor folk who get that and I tell ya, doesn’t look fun

 

That's a great plan if we all end up living in pods and eating the bugs.

What if the bus doesn't go where I want to go? Then what do you do?

 

It must be pretty difficult living a decent working persons living without having to actually get up and go to work.

I don't know how they can manage it.

I'd love to be able to load my bike up in my van and head to the gulf on money that I didn't have to go work for.

But there's something in me that won't let me do that with my own pride.

If I actually need it, that is one thing but if I can actually go out and get it for myself... As a man.... That is what any man should do
