Biden’s Disinformation Nazis Have a DeSantis Problem.

“What’s interesting about this is that the Democrats have a dismal track record when going head-to-head with DeSantis. If Biden’s Truth Nazi effort is going to be DOA or short-lived, who better than DeSantis to help facilitate that?”

    Biden Administration Goes Fascist:
"Team Biden's White House Spokeditz Jen Psaki defended the new Disinformation Board by spreading some disinformation of its own":
"Psaki is getting in some practice for her upcoming gig at MSNBC. Biden’s apologists spend all of their time trying to convince us that reality isn’t real. They’re comfortable with lying all the time. The thing is, they’re not very good at it."
I have to believe that there are sensible reasonable Democrats, but, other than Tulsi, have any others condemned this fascism from the Biden Administration?

Funny how Democrats are setting up a Disinformation board run by a HIGHLY! Liberal partisan leader named Nina Jankowicz when all they did was practice disinformation while Donald Trump was President. False Russian collusion accusations they were ALL! over it, but Hunter Bidens Dirty Laptop laundry, that was Russian propaganda. This is what happens when all the Polls show the Democratic Party getting massacred in November

I'm not clear how that speaks to the constitutionality argument you were making.

I'm sure even you know that the government won't be moderating social media, so what you are posting is not evidence, but RW talking point. They have already clarified their position, so there is no point in peddling fake news at this point.

Using the power of the government to punish corporations is unconstitutional, DeSantis is acting like a petulant child.

    Speiser v. Randall, 357 U.S. 513 (1958 )
"To deny an exemption to claimants who engage in certain forms of speech is, in effect, to penalize them for such speech. Its deterrent effect is the same as if the State were to fine them for this speech."

Enforcement of this provision through procedures which place the burdens of proof and persuasion on the taxpayers denied them freedom of speech without the procedural safeguards required by the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Pp. 357 U. S. 514-529.

    1.
A discriminatory denial of a tax exemption for engaging in speech is a limitation on free speech. Pp. 357 U. S. 518-520.

And its still irrelevant. Whether a business is a corporation, or a non profit corporation or a sole proprietorship doesnt change anything in this scenario.

So are you saying the WH Press Secretary is lying or are you saying their meetings with Social Media telling them what they should remove for disinformation is being ignored? You have direct quotes in this thread from her?

I said what I said and that wasn't it. Read the post again as opposed to asking me what I said.

I'm sure you can find something about with minimal effort.

The government is not allowed to punish corporations for speech. This is difficult to understand, why, exactly?

The excerpt from my quote that you replied to explained the legal issue quite well; " it's not unconstitutional for a state government to eliminate a subordinate unit of it's own government that it established, which is what's happening in Florida."

That's totally different from your court case example. I appreciate the effort however.

It certainly does if there IS no corporation, or non profit, which is the case in your scenario.

OK in your court case, explain which party is Reedy Creek and which is the State of Florida.

No, you actually explained nothing, which is why I asked you to explain what's fake. How did the White House "clarify" what they were doing?

The party denying = Florida. The party which was denied = Disney. I mean.....seriously? Playing dumb only makes you look dumb.

Supreme court: "A discriminatory denial of a tax exemption for engaging in speech is a limitation on free speech."

I said: "I'm sure even you know that the government won't be moderating social media,"

Yea.....so the idea that we'll have government moderators in social media *(or government dictating what's on it) is the fake news part. I don't know how it managed to fly over your head given the fact that it was pretty much the only thing I said.

As expected, you don't really understand the legal situation since the case you presented doesn't in any way match the situation with Reedy Creek. If this goes to court (as I expect it will) will it be State of Florida vs Disney or Reedy Creek? You seem very far away from getting the correct answer.

Since I've posted the story of the White House doing exactly that, moderating social media, I'm not sure why you are protesting they never did exactly what they admitted to doing.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki casually confirmed on Thursday what skeptical conservatives and some civil libertarians have been suspecting for years: that the world’s biggest speech platforms take direction from the government in choosing what content to suppress, amplify, or remove.

“We are in regular touch with social media platforms” about COVID-19 related misinformation, including misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine,” Psaki said. “We’re flagging problematic posts for Facebook.”

Nothing happens. Nothing ever happens. People like you tolerate it because you get to bitch when it’s happening to your team, and cheer when it happens to their team.
