One question for my forum peeps, is anyone surprised?

Washington Post fact checks Biden and his lies: 'bottomless Pinocchio' of misleading claims | Sara A. Carter (saraacarter.com)

The "Bottomless Pinocchio" is one of the most ignominious "awards" any politician can get. It is reserved for flat out lies that are repeated to resemble something akin to propaganda.

As he is about to enter his third year as President, Biden has just earned his first. ONE! It's Biden's "Bottomless Pinocchio" SINGULAR!

Not "Bottomless Pinocchios" like the OP falsely claims.

Guess how many "Bottomless Pinocchios" (PLURAL) Trump earned in his four year as President? 56!!!!!

Biden has a looooong way to go before Trump loyalists have any right to complain about Biden for this without the label "hypocrisy" immediately popping in to mind.

But the Bottomless Pinocchio that Biden earned was NOT for any of the statements the OP cites. It was for the following statement:

“Folks, I spent a lot of time — more time with Xi Jinping than any other head of state. … I’ve traveled 17,000 miles with him.”

So the WaPo added the miles and... guess what!.... It came up to less than 17,000. Oh, the Humanity!

Why did the WaPo award the dreaded "Bottomless Pinocchio" to such an innocuous inconsequential statement? Well... because Biden repeated it 21 times. And one of the requisites for a Bottomless Pinocchio is that it's repeated more than 20 times.

Compare that to doozies like Trump's "the elections were stolen" and you will immediately see why a Trump loyalist opening a thread like this is beyond laughable.

So, you're surprised or not surprised? That's the question. Want to try again?

You seem even more overly defensive today than usual. Everything okay?
Maybe it's because the GOP is on the road to winning the House and possibly the Senate? If so, Yeah, I'd be concerned too if I were a lying Biden fan/apologist.

Surprised about what? I am VERY surprised that a Trump loyalist would open a clearly hypocritical thread like this.

I am NOT surprised that a President, like any human being, can utter a handful of lies and exaggerations here and there. Like the one about travelling 17 thousand miles with Xi that you are so "scandalized" about. Even Obama, who's administration was as spotless as you would EVER hope to see, came up with a total of 18 lies during his 8 years as President.

What is ABNORMAL is a President who lies 30,573 times in four years.... That's TRUMP, BTW.

And I'm not too surprised that YOU opened a thread about lies by using a title that IS a lie.

Biden claims his son died in Iraq... several times now... Beau died in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland

"So the WaPo added the miles and... guess what!.... It came up to less than 17,000. Oh, the Humanity!"

Nice try at leaving the juicy stuff out
But it’s noteworthy because, despite our fact check and a White House admission that Biden’s line of “traveling with” Xi was not accurate, with this comment, Biden had made the claim 20 times during his presidency. (He then said it a 21st time a few hours later, in another speech, with a slight twist: “… when I traveled 17-, 18,000 miles with him.”) Biden is so fond of this bogus statistic that he even mentioned it during high-profile speeches such as a joint session of Congress and a commencement address.

If you can't defend the indefensible just deflect. I'm definitely not surprised to see this tactic so early in the thread.

In his presser today for instance, he claimed his deceased son died in Iraq. Why doesn't the press call his lying ass out? Hold him accountable? In the spirit of debate and though my two questions are rhetorical, I'm asking.

Biden's repeated lie this afternoon qualifies for a bottomless Pinocchio. I noticed even Jill, who was sitting off to the side flinched when the cameras showed her concern toward her husband's off topic remark, while he invoked Beau into a discussion about empathy for the voters, many who are having a hard time during this economy due to inflation. This man simply can't help but make everything about himself when asked a pointed question about his concern for the American people.

"Glenn Kessler writes that President Joe Biden has “earned his own Bottomless Pinocchio” for statements about (1)Social Security, (2)gas prices and (3)the Second Amendment, (4+)among others."

Doesn't that add up to more than four bottomless Pinocchios (plural)?

Did he appear to unwind towards the end of his q&a? I'm just wondering if the drugs are losing their effectiveness.

I counted at least three cited in the fact check article. Even quoted it. Did you not read the article?

Hahaha! He was getting tired. I think Jill was trying to hurry him along. Another three-day weekend vacay on the near horizon, no doubt for the both of them. Jill is looking so haggard. I guess I would look that way too if I had to worry about what lies and delusions were coming next.

You're still wrong. 4+ was mentioned. But besides that he's got more than 47+ years of telling lies to voters. Fact checking is just a recent phenomenon.

If it's "bottomless" why does it matter how many he get vs. Trump? And your predicable "what about the 'big lie' " has become a:deadhorse:

Which is deeper: 3 X bottomless or 56 X bottomless? Kinda like 2 X Infinite, right, Buzz?

Biden's entire career has been a bottomless Pinocchio. He's a master of misinformation.

Lol, enjoy. Maybe bring the barf bag?

If I wanted to make a thread about Trump obsession I would have.
Glad to have you here if you want to get back on topic instead of derailing. The choice is yours to make. :)
