I believe it’s government making it where they can be discharged for simply existing.

    Do you have any figures?

    Show them to me.

    That's exactly what I wrote.

Art accounts for around 5% of the country's GDP.

If all Americans thought like you, the country would fall into the worst recession in its history.

Engineers are important, that's for sure, but art also plays a key role in the country's economy.

They also teach their kids how to use hand grenades in school. I’m okay with going to their education system

They used to hide their vote buying efforts. No more. It couldn't be more public.

Yes... We are spending ourselves into insolvency. Both parties need to come together to stop the spending.

    2022….

    From his link:

“This is a list of countries by the level of tertiary education completed by 25–64 year olds as of the year 2022.[5]

From the 2022 list we are 9th. There is also a list from 2019. In 2019 we were 8.

Looks like the percentage stayed the same. We are 12 on that list. Not exactly busting out of of the top ten. We are right there and have been top ten for quite some time. Shame this happened under Bidens watch, wouldn’t you agree?

With the bailout, Biden will increase the affordability of higher education.

Republicans, on the other hand, have always seen education as a threat to conservatism.... and they're right.

Ok, Arkanis. Thank you for making the case, then. Trusting the accuracy of your information in your statement, 95% of the country's GDP is not related to "art".

Given that "art" contributes so little to the GDP, how is it defensible that Biden would lavish $6.1 Billion dollars to wipe out the legitimate education-related debts of people who studied "art"?

A few days ago, you claimed that art was useless.

Now that I've proven you wrong, you claim that art students don't deserve $6 billion to pay off their student loans because they 'only' contribute 5% to the GDP.

As the saying goes: you're putting yourself in smaller and smaller boxes.

Oy vey. You actually believe that? Prices will continue to rise. Bailing out people that can’t or won’t pay their student loans is not going to make college more affordable for others.

    Absolutely.

60% of Americans with a university degree vote Democrat.

No, you actually believe the government will make college more affordable. The government has already gotten involved and prices are ridiculous.

The affordability is one thing. however the quality of the education is what has been declining over the last 4 to 5 decades in this nation.

The indoctrination is ripe in these institutions. Each time the government gets involved in academia, the cost to the average citizen sky rockets. Since the government took over direct loan program in 2011, tuitions have skyrocketed and University endowments grown exponentially.

    Could not be more accurate!

Do you think Trump University has made things better?

And when it comes to quality of education, 9 of the top 20 universities in the world are American.

What do you know about it?

And yet, way less than 1% of students seeking higher education will ever breach the front doors of those 9 universities. Harvard has an endowment of nearly $51 billion (25% increase since 2019), increasing exponentially annually... yet, the admission rate remains meager at 3.6%.

    Because I work in it....

More importantly, teach the incompetent voters about the negative aspects of government overspending. The only thing that will stop it is voting them out of office.

    Why ?

    You didn't understand my question.

    Let me clarify.

Do you have any data showing that conservative students were indoctrinated by professors and had become libs by the end of their study?

Government intervention in student loans in 2011. Biden forgiving student loan debt had zero impact on University endowments... That only impacted tax payers. Matter of fact, by forgiving some loans, this administration is almost authorizing Universities to increase annual tuition rates once again, knowing there is a chance the government will once again eat the cost.

You stated the "60%" stat. I stated, I work at a University. I also have one daughter attending, and one who recently exited.
