After 4 years now they claim that their allies in the region were supporting extremists during these years!!!?? So they must be stupid or they think world people are stupid!!! Is any other option??

It's inconceivable that the worlds leading superpower, the allies of whom Biden accuses of allowing the rise of ISIS, was not correspondingly complicit. Such a scenario beggars belief.

Is Biden right? To some extent, yes. But it's a bonehead move to publicly call out an ally - especially a NATO ally - for essentially acting in their own interests.

Not surprisingly, Prime Minister Erdogan was livid:

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reacted angrily on Saturday to comments by US Vice President Joe Biden that Turkey and others in the region had financed and armed jihadist organisations in Syria.

"If Mr Biden used such language, that would make him a man of the past for me," Erdogan told a press conference in Istanbul.

"No one can accuse Turkey of having supported any terrorist organisation in Syria, including IS," he said, referring to the Islamic State jihadist group.

For the record, most of ISIS original funding came from Qatar. The Saudis, Turks, and UAE all sold arms to ISIS, not being very particular about which opposition group in Syria they were arming. After all, they don't have to pick up the pieces after the civil is over so why should they care who gets the arms?

It is a crime against humanity to give material support to terrorist groups. By stupidly accusing Turkey of being a rogue state, Biden undercut NATO, as well as US interests in the region.

Six years and they have yet to learn how to shut him up.

Ha ha, right on. Bonehead is too mild for Biden :)

What upset Erdogan the most I think was that Biden said Erdogan admitted his mistake, and don't you know, Erdogan never makes mistakes. To admit something would be a sign of guilt, not to mention a weakness unworthy of his 'superman' status. He's a megalomaniac and the only thing hindering his aggression is Nato. He would lose their support. I did read though that the majority of people in Turkey do support ISIS.

Biden came out with the usual lies when he said that Turkey was supporting terrorists to fight Assad...or at least I think he said it. In reality Erdogan was sending in terrorists to keep the Kurds away from the Turkish border.

You have no idea what Erdogan's provocations and aggressions are in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean. Treaties mean absolutely nothing to him.

Hi Syrian Girl, I hope and pray that you are fine out there.
Biden is partially correct but the real cause as I could see is the intel failure or perhaps acting like one,
and the reluctance of the Obama administration to commit ground troops again in that region.
Well, chess games sometimes do have flaws and blunders.

The US has been working with the Saudis, Qatar, Turks, Ashkenazistan etc. to destroy Syria since the first US assassins went into Syria to kill people to create the appearance of a civil war.

A large part of the reasons why the US destroyed Libya was to destroy Syria.

If the US really wanted to end the war against Syria, they could end it in 24 hours, and the Saudis, Turks and Qatar guys would quit or suffer the consequences.

And to think that in 1919, Syria, which includes Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon petitioned the US to become part of the USA.

Now, the USA is trying to murder the mother nation of Christian Israel Europe and America.
All 4 or Jacob/Israel's wives were Syrian, Jacob was Syrian, and so was Abrham.
But Americans are so in love with those blasphemers in the Synogog of Satan whom Christ condemned as "Not My sheep, murderers, enemies of God and mankind etc. that they can't see anything correctly.

On the one hand we have the president trying to put and hold together a fragile Middle East coalition against ISIS and on the other, we have this bumbling bloviating idiot undermining the presidents efforts.

It's funny as hell right out of the gate: US Vice-President Joe Biden has accused America’s key allies in the Middle East of allowing the rise of the Islamic State (IS), saying they supported extremists with money and weapons in their eagerness to oust the Assad regime in Syria.

Isn't that precisely what WE did? Armed and financed a bunch of 'extremists' in OUR eagerness to oust Assad?

    What a joke.

This is a years long history of supporting "good Muslims" against "bad Muslims" and messing in countries, where our government is less then competent about history and culture. Now, these idiots are finger pointing, who screwed up the most?

This is exactly right, irrespective of where they get their arms from. Should I blame France for supplying Argentina with the Mirage III jets they used against Britain during the Falklands war?

All american politicians " a bit of Psaki".
Thanks to Biden for the truth, its been known long ago, but confirmation is remarkable.

But when Biden appologise to whom? Erdogan? seems very suspiciously.

I can't understand foreign policy of Yankees, the vice-president behaves as Down, having publicly declared that an obama lowered on knees Europe, having forced them to accept the detriment sanctions against the one sixth part of the land, humiliates turks and saudits, obama salutes military with cocktail in his hands, the talking head of State department - Psaki, bears such a rubbish things. Either they have a policy of full cretinism, or in power of the US is the American Gorbachev exposing America every day as one laughing-stock.

Nothing has changed. We are fighting the savages sent to destroy Syria. Will continue to fight them till the last drop of blood. Damascus is doing okay I guess. By mid 2015 I expect the whole province to be terrorist free.

They are under siege only recently since SAA and Hezbollah took over the Qalamoun area and border with Lebanon. They are well stocked though, after stockpiling weapons for 2 years. They can still smuggle using passenger cars because the main highway runs through the area but I doubt that will be a major factor. They are facing a brutal cold winter with no heat, limited food and dwindling weapons. We will wait them out until spring and then move in to finish in spring time when they are hungry and demoralized.

Yes they shoot randomly into the center of Damascus. They shoot into my neighborhood as well and do some bombings. That is why I have no sympathy for the areas under siege.

You wanna disarm and neuter ISIS?

Do Sunni's wish they could build giant glory-mosques the way Shi'ite can?

Buy some defendable ground, hire some good Sunni architects to design the most insanely glorious Sunni-mosque on the scale of the pyramids, and put out the call for anyone so bored and pissed-off with the meaninglessness of life in post-BushJr. Iraq that they don't have to vent through ISIS... that they can get a job paying enough to feed a wife-and-kids if they can lift a brick or pull wire.

(If this is begin-giving you a headache... that's Lucifer)

It costs a tenth of stupidly flying around bombing targets hiding a mile away in caves, and your only problem will be convincing the military-capitalists to shift their investments to clean energy (which *does* make a profit). A way to explain it to the military-capitalists would be to say the government is not going to keep bailing them out with ordinary tax-payer subsidies... that the arms have to produce results better than still having to kill citizen's kids.

... *and* it results in a Monument left standing thousands of years to keep people feeling cool and proud and peaceful around where it's irrigated if you build it between the Tigris and Euphrates.

As if you dumb-f$%cks never spent enough on college to learn how Egypt 3200 years ago unified the nile-and-delta by doing the simple mathematical application of exponential feedback to build a pyramid to unify the first Egyptial Empire.

5200 years later, and the exponential feedback money-weath feedback generators can still can barely figure out how to get their head *not* pushed down by Lucifer to lick their own asses. 2323This is where you/one consults the Queen.

It's easy. Your royal heignesses... I have DNA so good if added to your it could withstand intergalactic transposition onto a solar system with two options... one is thermacular with green wet forests and lost of fungus. The other is dry with temperate in the summer and freezing cold in the winter.

The problem of course is that I am male, so I made friends with females to sneak my mitocontrial DNA into their eggs cells, such that all I have to worry about now is facing the heavenly allmighty.

The point your grandmother wants to make is it took fight to get to the level you're on, and that the jury is still out if it is good fight or bad fight... but that in either take it is fight.

    I meant...

Anyway... suppose the innevetable overpopulation-consequenses of humans rising above evolution to the confused extent of wondering why they are happy building Babylon pyramids to throw unwanted babies off into the mouth of Baal, *or* you could shift popular support to crushing the heads of wart-like worm-salamanders getting wealth against China which you morons do not understand will fight, such that the deal is, you can throw lots over which planets in this solar system they get.

In the mean time I am down here trying to convert Lucifer.

Well, there you have it folks. Mr. Joe "Big Effing Deal" Biden strikes again! Should he be blaming our allies for this or should we blame ourselves? Maybe we shouldn't have left when we did? Or maybe we shouldn't have even invaded Iraq in the first place. He's even dumber than Sarah Palin.
