4 major peace deals. Is that what you libs mean by sky high expectations? Had Trump won reelection there was even a possibility of an Israeli-Saudi peace deal which would have been the biggest ever seen.

The Sudan deal had that country giving us $335M. They gave us $335M as compensation for past terrorist attacks! Sudan as a result was taken off our terrorist list.

The historical nature of these deals cannot be emphasized enough. Countries that have long refused to acknowledge Israel's right to exist are now acknowledging them as a nation and willing to have diplomatic and economic relations with them! No other president has done that.

    https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/29/politics/kim-jong-un-donald-trump-dmz-north-korea/index.html

If it was a democrat president who was the first to take steps into north Korea in a gesture of peace libs would have been weeping and calling it a great moment in history. Trump did that.

Trump's energy policies made us no longer need Mideast, Russian or Venezuelan oil. For the 4 years of the Trump the average price of a gallon of gas was $2. What better for working people? Biden in a rush to change that.

That's another thing. How idiotic is it for us to be providing these rich advanced countries 2/3 of THEIR military protection? We can spend 3.4% of our GDP when Germany one of the richest nations on earth only spends 1.3%? So unfair to the American tax payer and only Trump had the balls to say that. It wasn't like he asked an arm and a leg either he simply asked these countries to pay 2%.

Biden will ask nothing of them.

    According to this site https://www.statista.com/statistics/204740/retail-price-of-gasoline-in-the-united-states-since-1990/

    2015 2.43
    2016 2.14

    2017 2.42
    2018 2.72
    2019 2.60

    So 2017-2019 = 2.58

now 2020 was 2.17 which was down primarily due to the pandemic. If you are one that wants to give Trump a pass for the 2020 economy than that should be excluded, but if not, it gets you down to 2.48. Still above 2015-2016, but way below 2009-2014

And you're right. Italy is launching a new carrier [Wow! We are exaggerating!], but ... you know, for all the rest we rely on US.
There is no doubt that NATO means that US spend tax payers money and the allies enjoy the American protection.

I do not like this. Period. Italy is not as rich as Germany, but we could do well better.

Well, I suppose you could look at it that way and bitch and moan because Germany pays percentually less for its military. Well, ok, let's make Germany pay for all of its military and then Germany can turn around and charge the US Government rent for every single US base in Germany, charge air-space fees for all overflights, charge for all medical costs for treatments and Germany hospitals do for us, etc.... and I can guarantee you that Germany will end up on the better side of the deal.

The point I am making is: we have invested more in up-front money for our cherished allies because the perks they allow us - COST FREE - add up to far more than that up-front money.

Food for thought for the next time you want to bitch and moan about a financial issue that could be cleared up with just a little bit of honest researching.

And my Lord what is it ****ing wonderful to wake up each morning not having to dread what kind of batshit crazy twitter bombs a mentally instable, craven, vicious, vindictive president set off during the night, because with a real President like Joe Biden, the age of presidential twitter/instagram/FB trolling is over. Hallelujah, amen.

So, Dr., feel free to provide all of your documentation over Joe Biden's mental acuity....

I adressed you as "Dr." out of the utmost of respect, for surely you are a doctor and have extensive knowledge on this subject and surely you have done a check on President Biden and can provide everyone here with hard proof as to his mental state, amirite?

You're welcome, like the other one. I don't mind.

Instead of using rhetorical tricks, would you care to discuss the argument?

You falsely and very deceptively truncated my quote (which is against PF rules, to note), so if you look at the original quote without truncation, which you should have done:

That sentence, when not deceptively edited, is grammatically absolutely correct.

I am going to give you the opportunity to:

a.) apologize for deliberately and very deceptively truncating a quote from a posting of mine, which, as I have already indicated, is against PF rules.
b.) to not do that again.

    Thank you.

If you do not, I will report said postings every time they appear, without fail.

We had enough bullshit during the failed Trump years. Enough already.

Enough would result from being able to recognize where the bullshit really cam from- and understanding what kind of mentality it would take to pitch it for five years with a straight face.

I hear ya. Look at this ...

President-elect Donald J. Trump said on Tuesday that he had no intention of pressing for an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server or the financial operations of her family’s foundation, dropping the “lock her up” pledge that became a rallying cry for his campaign for the White House.

Mr. Trump, who branded his rival “Crooked Hillary” and said she would go to jail if he were president, said in an interview with reporters and editors at The New York Times that he was no longer interested in pursuing Mrs. Clinton, in part because he wanted to heal the wounds of a divisive campaign.

“I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t,” Mr. Trump said during the interview. “She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways, and I am not looking to hurt them at all. The campaign was vicious.”

~ This is exactly what bonehead Biden and the bimbo should be using as an example . I have a feeling Biden is going to be quickly losing his flock - even the deceased ones. Kamala will do even worse.

I do not think he is caple. It requires earnest concentration in order to leave the "tricks" and dedicate forum time to the subject of Biden and his projected abilities. I think the problem is that some people are bent on trashing (criticizing) Donald Trump and they have consumed themselves with such vigour that they cannot keep their thoughts on the subject at hand. Do you know what I mean? I think it is called "what-about-ism" or "smoke-screening" or maybe even "thread-hijacking" .... diverting attention away from the thread not by praising Biden but by slandering Trump.

Well, that's not a What I've done for my people merit. Trump based his efforts on MAGA - something positive. ITFP isn't something Americans should hang their hats on as a presidential-term motto.

    <COMMENTS EDITED>

The subject at hand, from the title of this thread downward, is in and of itself a strawman argument, but I accept that as a result of the last general election, where Democrat Joe Biden earned 81.3 million valid votes, +7.1 million more than now ex-President Donald Trump, therefore beating him like a "drum" (politically speaking), just as Joe promised he would, there are people out there who are very much hurting from this event and are therefore writing all sorts of nonsense in order to get the frustration out of their system.

Also, I will submit to you and everyone on this thread that as of this morning the Biden administration is exactly 3.5 workdays old, and I am literally including half of Inauguration Day in that calculation - and Saturday as well. The man is working only 10 times harder than Trump ever did and instead of rocking the world with totally inappropriate, hateful, divisive, racist, sexist tweets or going golfing during the apex of a deadly worldwide pandemic - he is calm and friendly - and all some people here in PF can do is to bitch and moan about it whether or not Biden's expectations are "sky high". LOL.

Seriously, I recommend that you and others get a grip on yourselves.

I myself will hold Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to every bit as high a standard as I did to then-Pres. Trump and his administration, but am smart enough to let an administration at least get off the ground before hurling arrows of criticism. If I see Biden straying from what he promised, I will surely criticize him with the same vigor. Thus far, he has done EXACTLY what he promised during his winning campaign.
