That goes with the old saying, "Corporations don't pay taxes, people do." You're correct, people will be paying the corporations taxes everytime they buy goods or services the corporation provides.

Says who? How do they know, and why isn't the IRS arresting people?? This "eat the rich" thinking has really GOT to stop, they're rich for a reason and they bring a lot of good to society. WIthout them we would not have smart phones, tablet computers, regular computers, safer cars, more convenient cars, an online "buy anything and everything you want at good prices" superstore, you name it.

Where ever it is you are when you read this, just take a look at whatever device it is you're reading it on, look around the room and see what's there that some likely rich person created, or contributed heavily to. 15-20 years ago, a T1 Internet line cost more than $1,000/month (they were for businesses only mostly). Today, I have something that is 670x faster in my home for like $49. I get similar speeds from my phone, too. I can order just about anything that exists, and have it on my doorstep within 8-24 hours without paying a dime in freight.

I am grateful for those things. You and so very many others just look at the net worth of the people who risked every penny they had on an idea once upon a time, with nothing but jealousy, envy, and a desire to "stick it to them".

"Spending cuts"? Are you kidding? And expect any significant spending cuts from EITHER political party? Ha! That would be like trying to convince a teenage boy to stop masturbating!

"Pay their fair share" certainly means that they don't get to simply stop paying the taxes they owe us.

The IRS is funded by congress. And, congress has not been interested in funding policing the rich.

Of course, they absolutely WILL go after the little guy!

Your internet speed and its cost is totally irrelevant.

These people/corporations owe taxes. It's a crime for them to stop paying.

Again, says who? Specifically what companies haven't paid their taxes, and by how much? How do YOU know?? Sounds to me like you're just following some DNC talking points that are based on nothing.

There are federal reports on this stuff. The IRS doesn't go after all scofflaws, but they do have information on how much is unpaid.

OK give me the simpleton economic theory of how increasing taxes on corporations, their cost of doing business, is the best way to fight inflation.

And high demand can produce economies of scale and bring down cost. Henry Ford lowered the cost of producing an automobile by increasing demand for it enabling him to build on a huge scale. Imagine how much a PC would cost if only a couple of thousand were made year and had to be done by hand because not enough to automate. Demand and production in the larger sense can be kept in sync it is one thing the market does best.

What, you expect me to just "trust you"? Ha, you've got way too many fingers in my pockets as it is, show me! Where are the reports, what do they say? Is it Wal-Mart? Amazon? Joe's Crab Shack?

Surely, if you know the total amount supposedly not being paid, you know by whom, don't you?

Imagine how fast a car would be if the speed they could do increased by the same CAGR as PCs? We'd be doing Warp-20 to get to work.

My doctor told me that I had to stop masturbating. When I asked why, she said "Because I'm trying to examine you!"

I think Biden is just trying to prove his theory that any dufus can be president -- don't really have to know anything.

YOU’LL EAT LESS AND REDUCE YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT: Get Ready for $1 Per Egg: USDA Forecast Predicts Highest Food Inflation Since 1980.

“All of the predictions in the May report from the USDA are subject to upward revision.”

"April food increased by 9.4%, according to the USDA. Food consumed at home also increased more than the price of food away from home. Grocery store and supermarket purchases rose 10.8% year over year in April. The USDA’s forecast for May predicts the cost of food will increase again and significantly by fall."

"The crises the Biden administration created are converging and could cause food insecurity for the first time in the living memories of many Americans. Biden’s energy policy halted domestic fossil fuel production while he still begs some of the worst regimes in the world to drill more oil. That leads to higher fuel costs impact farm operations and all forms of transportation.

'The price of eggs increased 10.3% in April. The UDSA predicts an increase between 19.5% and 20.5% year over year in 2022. That could mean $1.00 an egg. Poultry prices will rise as much as 9.5%."

    Just switch to fish!

"Fish and seafood are rising rapidly too. The prices in April were 11.9% over the same month in April of 2021. Dairy consumption is up, and prices followed the trend with a 2.4% increase in April alone. Predictions for both categories were revised upward to 7-8% for 2022."

"60% of likely 2022 election voters believe President Biden’s policies and spending are the primary reason for rising inflation. This result includes 61.1% of independent voters."

Reminded every week with every trip to the store and gas pump.
