Biden is refusing to name any SCOTUS nominees because they would be subjected to "unfair attacks". Considering what the historical context here is, regarding which side accuses the other's nominees of being rapists, this strikes me as a really spineless, hypocritical thing to do. It's more of the purely negative, zero actual leadership campaigning that has typified Biden thus far. I think I'm done posting about politics for a bit, there's a thin line between clown world and cringe and I don't like cringe.
Why should he bother? Trump's pick will be confirmed regardless of who wins the WH / Senate. They may delay the vote on it until after the election to try to avoid any potential backlash on senate seats that are in danger like Collins, but it won't matter. McConnell has control of the Senate currently and will for the remainder of the year. He has made it a central mission to get conservatives on the bench. He will not allow this opportunity to pass regardless of who wins in November. Biden presenting a list would only open his campaign up to attacks of either being too progressive or not progressive enough. There is literally no benefit in presenting anything. Not presenting a list is the correct play.
Why is it “spineless” to name someone you have no power to nominate, until after the election (if. then)?
Biden could name Homey the Clown for SCOTUS - doesn't mean a hill of beans because Biden is not going to be POTUS.
Just amazing. That is EXACTLY what he should be doing to counter Trump and get support, tell who HE would nominate and why. But he's dodging with this faux higher ground argument.
To show the voters where he stands on the type of judges he will nominate, kinda an important thing to know before you vote for a President these days don't ya think? Why would it hide it?
Post your birth certificate or you're an imposter. Not doing so makes you spineless. You gonna obey me or flip me off? Yeah, that's what I thought. So did Joe Biden to Trump.
